The first stop in Malaysia, I feel that I did not come to the wrong place. Two days of stay is enough. I rested and adjusted comfortably. The boss lady is very friendly. She was afraid that we would be cheated by buying seafood, hahaha, but I have to say that the seafood with salt and pepper is very delicious. The meals provided are very delicious, and you can avoid thunder. (Of course, everyone has different requirements) I met different people during the journey, which is fate, and there are different places. In the evening, everyone sang, drank, and danced with the locals. It was a very happy two-day trip. However, I have to say that the Bajau people are not very honest when selling seafood. It is really difficult to bargain during the peak tourist season. You must watch the life and death of the seafood. Don't ask me how I know. The service staff of the accommodation are very enthusiastic. You can stay for two more nights. The three of us stayed in a family room. I think the environment is OK. I look forward to coming again next time. The locals on the island are very enthusiastic, at least I feel very friendly. I saw the fish, the sunset, and caught a day of thunderstorms these days. Room C is similar to room B, room B has dripping water, alas. The hotel sells cheap Bajau seafood. There are three times a day to go to sea to float or dive, and float 30B. I don't know. Saw turtles. The boss is generous, and he can eat three meals a day, mainly with southern tastes. Good value for money. Environment: Mabu Island is a large island. Many certified divers live on the island. There are more than a dozen hotels on the island. It is a 40-minute boat ride from the town. There are some primitive Bayao villagers on the left and right sides of the hotel.
Hotel: There are townhouses and two towers, and the accommodation facilities are pretty good.
Catering: The hotel provides three buffet meals a day, which is enough to fill you up. There are Bajau people selling seafood on the beach, and the hotel can process it.
Summary: I went there before the Chinese New Year. The hotel price was around RMB 3,000 per night, which was considered average value for money at the time. There was a pick-up and drop-off service, but the disadvantage was that there was construction nearby that affected the experience.

It takes an hour by boat from the Dragon Inn Pier in Semporna to get to Mabul Island. The hotel you booked includes a round-trip ticket. You can get on the boat to this homestay by registering at Dragon Inn R2.
This is a private homestay on Mabul Island. The cost-effectiveness is relatively high. One room can accommodate three adults. It is suitable for families with children. It is much more affordable than the Mabul Island Resort Hotel next to it.
There are simple meals for breakfast and some free lunch at noon. We buy fresh seafood from the Bajau people on the sea every day and let the kitchen of the homestay process it. The seafood is super cheap and fresh. The processing fee is 15-20 Malaysian ringgit. It's still good. It's also good to use the money saved from staying in the resort to buy more seafood.
If you want to go to the Mabul Island Resort next to it, you can enter for 50 Malaysian ringgits per person. It's right next door. It's quite comfortable to check in, take pictures, and swim.
It's a good trip to save money with children.

Before I checked in, I compared it with a few net red island accommodations in Semporna. Xinjia Motor is not an island, but a water house that is only 10 minutes away from the town because we always wanted to be on an island with land. Accommodation. And we have compared the prices. The ocean view room we live in has double ocean views, and the facilities are better than the new ones. The price includes the round-trip boat fee. It costs one hour to sail one way, three meals a day, and the restaurant regularly does BBQ every week. He sailed three times a day and went to sea to Kapalai. It is really cost-effective to see sea turtles on snorkeling.
After arriving at the store, the workers will take the initiative to go to the dock to help us with our luggage. We do n’t need to do it by ourselves. After going to the front desk, the workers will also help us to pull our luggage to the room. . In addition to going to the sea every day, there are also water slides and motor boats in the store for guests to entertain. The slide is free throughout the day and the motorboat is MYR 120 for 10 minutes.
The only thing that is a bit inadequate is that the platform is piled with building materials, and there are four new sea-view water houses next to it. It's gone.
Go out to sea to experience deep and snorkeling. The diving suit provided to the girls by the deep dive is super beautiful, and all we shoot are blockbuster feelings. You can see the shipwreck. Turtle, big grouper, school of fish storm. Already scheduled to take another dive certificate next time.
The only thing to pay attention to is to communicate with the customer service in the store after booking and send the passport information to the customer service so that you can buy the dock tax in advance. We just don't know, delaying sailing time. Mabul Island in general can play for three days and two nights, and live well. Recommended

Had a really good stay here!!! From the boat transfer from Semporna Jetty to the resort, the staff were very attentive and helpful. Upon arrival at the Water Bungalow, I was welcomed with a welcome drink and a brief introduction and orientation of the facilities and the amenities was given by Jasni. Loved the spacious room and the stay was very comfortable. Sea nomads come by daily and offer coconuts and fresh seafood. If you are willing to buy they will be very happy; if you are not keen, just decline politely and they will leave you alone. Meals here were great, there was a variety of mains, fruits and desserts available. The compound is also very beautiful and the view is breathtaking at every corner. Indeed more expensive, but you are paying for the resort being in one of the best locations. They also provide diving and snorkelling services. The Water Bungalow Housereef is a divers heaven and it has many interesting pelagic animals to see. Truly loved my stay here and I believe I will be back.

Water Chalet is non-air conditioner room. I dont know that my Chalet is non-Aircon Room so i have to stay in the hot room. many customers complaint very hot especially day time. For meal is buffet style and with variety food. drinking water and codial drink is free. Especially morning is very noisy because of the electric car pass by the chalet. For the view , i agreed with what i see in the youtube. During sunset . it is beautiful and romance enviroment. dues of lack of water. we cant use bath tub and the water shower is very small and i feel like i am staying in no- star hotel. But the hotel officer did tell us because of lack of water. but the transport to the Kapalai is quite frequent and free. this is bonus points. Generally, for couple those are going to honeymood and taking photos are the best to go.

We loved our stay here at Santiri Island Resort. We celebrated our 10th year wedding anniversary and it lived up to our expectation. The resort was beautiful, it was small and intimate and not many rooms, which we enjoy because it limits the crowd on the island. It really felt like we had the island to ourselves. The picture doesn't do its justice. You need to go there to see it for yourself. The resort is unique as it has a sandbank when it's low tide, good for pictures taking or taking a stroll. The food was delicious and you could also get them to cook your seafood that you buy from the sea gypsies. They will try their best to entertain your request. You can snorkel, kayak and paddleboard around the area. The corals are very nice here. The staff here was very helpful and friendly, I would like to thank Dato' (owner), Mandy and Sam and other staff for your hospitality. We Will definitely come back here!

The environment of the resort is very beautiful. It is very suitable for friends to travel together. Many people can stay. You can also sing karaoke and play mahjong. It is very close to the town and will arrange pick-up. If you want to dive, you can also directly contact Mr. Luo to make an appointment~ We did deep diving and snorkeling this time. It was very fun!
Mr. Luo is super nice! You can ask him to take you to buy seafood and pick durian! He can help you bargain and choose well! They can directly process seafood here, which is much cheaper than in town and also very delicious!

GGuest UserIt took half an hour by boat to get there. The water quality is good. You can see a lot of fish. There is also a large platform for taking photos and checking in. There are many plants and artificial flowers for decoration. It feels very carefully arranged.
All three meals are delicious. I feel very attentive. I especially like the orchid crab soup. It is so fresh and delicious. It is delicious even if you are slapped.
The room is cleaned very clean. You can look at the sea and poop. Each room has a small balcony to watch the sunset.
There is Xiao Hei who sings very well. He doesn't talk much. It is suitable for people like me who don't need to communicate.
(ps: Protect your glasses and hat when taking the boat. When I came, my boyfriend's glasses flew off directly. When I went back, Xiao Hei's hat also flew off. My boyfriend can only get glasses in town because the degree is high and it costs 368 Malaysian ringgits. I feel a little sad. I stayed for 2,000, and only three households were checked in. It includes three meals for 2 people, snorkeling and round-trip boats. I feel that the cost performance is very high. If you don't want to live in an expensive water house, I strongly recommend trying here

JJi ChengOverall I enjoyed our stay in sky water villa. When I was booking I read the reviews also worried that they are a bit old, so that the houses might not be well maintained. But during my stay I feel like the houses are used but still in okay manner. The best thing for this hotel is that I think they have the best house reef, and you can see turtles at night from your balcany. I went snorkling a few times during my stay I saw quite a few clown fish aka nemo and many fishes and even a sea eel one day. They also provide “galss” kayak which you can watch sunset on it. And the best thing they offer is that the tours you book with the villa starts around 10 am, you can just get ready and wait in your room, and when the boat is here the staff will get you from your room, and you’ll finish the tour around 3-4 pm which is the afternoon tea time at the villa. Instead of in the town area you need wake up early and meet and wait at the jetty around 8:15 am . And power supply is stable just may be ocassion blackout but it would turn back on very soon. However I do think they need to clean their air con as the one in our room seems very dusty, we had to clean the filter ourselves, they were very dusty. And during the afternoon coz our villa faces the sunset direction the air con feels a bit not strong enough. And the aircon outer unit is installed right at the room’s wall so it’s a little bit noisy, I’d suggest why not just use a more powerful window unit instead. The food is so so, but it’s difficult to cater everyone’s preference for food. The hotel is not cheap and maybe not very cost effective compare to hotels in other places, but to be fair i think if you want to go to semporna, this might be a reasonable option as overall semporna and malaysia is very expensive for tourists. And i higly recommend to stay at least 2-3 nights instead of 1 night to fully enjoy and relax yourself.

Service: The hotel's arrangements are in place and they can help you solve any problems you have. We booked a charter boat for snorkeling for two people. The instructor is also very professional and will dive to the bottom of the sea to help you catch the fish from the bottom of the sea.
Facilities: As soon as I entered the room, I couldn't wait to experience the slide. At first, I was worried that I would sink into the sea if I slid down. There are life jackets at the front desk, so there is no need to worry.
Free dinner: The dishes are very rich, the chicken is very tender, the crabs are also very fresh, there is crab roe in it, you can’t get enough of the shrimps

GGuest UserIt’s similar to hotels/guesthouses in China, and much simpler than domestic budget hotel chains such as Home Inns or GreenTree Inn. Hotels in Sabah generally feel two stars lower than those in China. The one I stayed in in Kota Kinabalu is owned by Marriott The Le Méridien hotel is also comparable to domestic All Seasons hotels, so don’t expect too much.
The sanitation is quite clean, and there are often people chanting sutras with loud speakers in the morning and evening... overall it's not bad.
It is two kilometers away from the pier and takes a taxi for 6-8RM. You can go to the seafood market to bargain for dragon knives, which is quite fun!

I came down around 7am to checkout but both staff are sleeping at the receptionist area😅 I dont mind if u want to sleep but at least 7am u should wakeup already. The pic is a place near to this hotel u can walk 5-10mins..
