Beautiful surrounding and very friendly staff. A hidden gem definitely worth a visit when travelling in Douro valley. The rooms and the whole house is super clean, atmosphere is perfect and they make superb breakfast and daily changing dinners. One of the best hotel experiences we have ever had.

Turismo de Portugal should do a new evaluation because the quality of the restaurant, the lack of training of most of the staff and the slowness and lack of interest in customers make it an average hotel. The cost-benefit ratio is very poor. Suggestions for improvement (if they want to be a 5-star hotel): no one accompanies guests to their rooms, in the pool guests have to open parasols and move sun loungers, the restaurant for dinner is very poor: in terms of food and quality of staff. At breakfast, guests are left to their own devices, piling up crockery on the table.
