Greenwood Beach Resort

Just back from a week at Greenwood Beach Resort on Cat Island, and I have to say, this hidden gem was a perfect Caribbean escape for us—miles of untouched beach, turquoise waters, perfect temperatures of both air and water. The peaceful, laid-back atmosphere made it an ideal place to unwind. Pauline and Antoine are incredible hosts; low key, and thoughtful, in a relaxed way , they are on task to help guests feel welcomed and at home. Wonderful staff all around. Whether you’re looking to socialize in the inviting common areas or find your own quiet spot to relax, they’ve created a space that feels both intimate and open. The other guests were a pleasure to connect with; people were around if we were interested to visit, yet at times we were the only people in sight in the water or on the beach. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the freshwater pool so nice to swim in or lounge around. The WiFi in the main lodge works well for those who need to stay connected,. Snorkeling with Antoine was a pleasure, he knew just which reef would be full of beautiful fish, and had the prefect gear for us. —Sean the chef is an excellent cook and baker. He's so warm, and funny, a pleasure to be around. The restaurant is a treat, serving delicious meals with fantastic service, known for miles around.

Greenwood has a new chef, and in a word, he’s excellent! He just arrived from Europe a few days before Christmas. Fresh baked scones for breakfast, the best! Last week a group of us had his fish n' chips and we all agreed it was excellent. Others had shepard's pie and loved it! Greenwood has an all new menu now, and it’s well worth giving it a try. You’ll be glad you did! Two thumbs up! 👍👍

We didn’t stay here but did snorkeling trip with Antoine and dinner at the resort. Pauline, Antoine and the chef all made us feel like family. The resort is stunningly beautiful. It is a rare find when you see people actually matched with their passions and Antoine and Pauline are clearly working exceptionally hard, but passionate about what they do. Not only did we have a great time and meal - but during the activity I appreciated the attention to detail that Antoine had and keeping people safe. Don’t even get me started on the magic tricks …this place is truly magical and you’d be insane to not visit!

Sean is the most amazing and talented chef I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He goes out of his way for all the guests and will not just cook, but create the most memorable and flavorful dishes. Will be going back many times before my trip is over. Thank you Sean for making an unforgettable and incredible experience.

Greenwood Beach Resort is a star on Cat Island. Why? Antoine and Pauline provide a welcome respite from the mad-dash world. We dined here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and found the food enormously tasty and satisfying. The two gracious hosts transmitted their magic through music, magic tricks, and lovely European hospitality. On the shelves of the common room, you will find books and games to while away the time. We love Greenwood!

We just came back from Cat Island and we stayed at Greenwood beach resort. Where should I start? The location is great! quintessential Carribean Beach. The place is very quiet and restful. Pauline and Antoine are excellent hosts. they set up a welcoming place where you can interact with the other guests in the common area or be alone in different locations of the resort. Walks on the beach are amazing, miles of untouched sands. Rooms are clean and comfortable. WIFI in common area wokrs well if you need to stay in touch with the world, My family took kiteboard lesson and did snorkeling with Antoine, a very patient and charming person (he is also a magician!). Pauline will fulfil all your needs. I can't forget to mention the food at the restaurant is really good as well and the staff very caring. A place to go back! Andrea
