West Inn Hotel Baku

I do not recommend. We asked for a room with a nice view from the window, we were put in the basement with a view of the wall (we did not see the sun). We asked to move us, but there were no vacancies. There were cockroaches in the room. The staff was overly helpful, which was embarrassing, later it became clear why. After checking out, our account on Booking was blocked at the request of this hotel. We contacted the hotel with a request to explain what we violated, but we never received an answer. Complete disregard. The hotel, for its part, can mark a guest as unscrupulous if he violates the rules, etc. But we did not violate anything, did not argue with anyone and did not make any claims. Apparently, we were blocked so that we would not leave a negative review on Booking, and everything there is so “beautifully” bought and has nothing to do with reality.

+ excellent location (that's where the pros end). - terrible breakfast. Instant coffee, paid water at breakfast (free something remotely resembling "juice"), twice we never got breakfast. Keep in mind that if there are more than 2 of you, you will not be seated at the same table!!! And no matter how you ask, you will still be seated at separate tables (even if you talk to the general manager of the hotel). They do not know what customer-oriented service is!!! Every day you will be asked if you need cleaning, and if you do, it will be at an inconvenient time for you. The safe will not work the first time or even the third time. But the worst thing awaited us upon our return: we booked 3 rooms for 5 people. The account from which we booked was blocked because upon arrival, the hotel staff asked to look at the reservation from our "booking" application, thus copying our personal data. After which they cancelled our booking in the booking system, changing the amount to be paid. Although we paid the hotel immediately in cash, the full amount (as indicated in the original booking). As a result, we still can’t unblock booking :( Be careful!!! And the city is magnificent, charming and delicious. The people are welcoming and responsive.

Magnificent hotel. The rooms are clean, the plumbing is new and modern. 1000% customer oriented staff. I recommend it for a wonderful holiday. Breakfast is like in a restaurant. The location is wonderful, in the Old Town. All liked it.

The location is excellent, but that's where the positives end. The room is small, we ordered a junior suite with a balcony. You can’t go out onto the balcony because the door doesn’t open. Getting the key into the keyhole is another performance. There are no magnetic keys. The bed, an imitation of it, is made of iron, with a 10 cm stone mattress. The pillows are terrible, it is impossible to rest after the excursion. The back fell off. A special place in the review is the breakfast. The whole hotel was hungry. We had never seen anything like this. Breakfast was a la carte, but the menu consisted of 3 types of scrambled eggs, pancakes and oatmeal. The cold cuts consisted of 3 pieces of one sausage and 3 of the other. 2 pieces of bronze. And from this you need to choose 2 dishes. Instant coffee, tea from a common can. Juice . One time the juice turned sour. In the kitchen there is one cook, working in street clothes, and also a guy, a waiter. He carries it with one hand, and if he doesn’t forget, he lays out the cuttings with the same hands. In general, we had breakfast in a cafe nearby. Room cleaning from 15.00. You want to relax between excursions, and then there’s cleaning. We refused, we just changed towels and took water. We advised booking to refuse cooperation with this hotel. But the city of BAKU is amazing. Beautiful, rich and pure.

Thanks to the hospitable Azerbaijan and the hotel for the warm welcome and wonderful service ❤️ I recommend 10/10 Convenient location, beautiful view, friendly staff. I had an early check-in, everything was organized, the rooms are clean, the furniture is new, the bathroom has everything you need, including bathrobes and disposable slippers, I was satisfied.

Alas, we did not have a chance to live in the West Inn suite ((( (booked through Booking, com) when we arrived at the hotel on Sunday evening, tired after a four-hour car trip on 02/26/23, it turned out that "by mistake of the receptionist" our room was given to other people "And there were no other rooms. Well, of course, we were offered rooms in other "friendly hotels", but they were not close to this one, a lower class and a worse rating. And we only lost time and effort. Thanks to our friends - they helped us find another hotel. As explained to us later in a couple of other hotels, this is the so-called standard practice of overbooking. "Apparently, your room was sold to someone more expensive, and you were politely turned around" At our request, they at least paid a taxi of 4 manats to another hotel and helped to load it.
