The location is a bit remote, especially the entrance to the hotel is very small and has no lights. But it is OK to enter the hotel, the lobby is very high and there is a swimming pool. The room facilities are OK, the service is average, and many operations are outsourced. It feels like a hotel built by a local tycoon, and the hotel management level is average. The food is average, not very delicious, and the overall cost performance is not high.

Great hotel, great value for money. It is a relatively small five-star hotel. Every room has a bottomless sea view and a beautiful swimming pool, which children like very much. It is very convenient to go out to the beach.

One of the best beach experiences I’ve ever had! The view, the clean beach and the stunning sunset were incredible but what truly made our stay memorable was the warm and welcoming staff. A special shoutout to Sri Nimal at the front office for his kind smile, patience and helpful nature made us feel truly at home. The in-house chef also impressed us with delicious local cuisine, served right by the beach. It was a perfect evening of great food, cozy drinks and heartfelt hospitality. Can’t wait to return!

Beautiful hotel, all communal areas, pool, garden, bar and restaurant are all very well maintained and presented. Our room was spacious with a fantastic ocean view and the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds that we have ever slept in. The beach is ideal for swimming All staff are friendly attentive and professional A special mention should go to Manu in the restaurant and also to Nalaka in the bar, his cocktail making is second to none

This is a great place to stay. I really liked this beach and very friendly people. I recommend trips around this hotel and beach with my friend Roshan, who is a very good local businessman. He organized our trips to see the local tourist attractions, for example to the city of Galle and the Madu river. We have also seen beautiful turtles. We have been with Roshan also to the local city of Bentota. He organized for us also the possibility to see the local fishermen near Galle. He knows a nice place also for relaxing massages. I strongly recommend Roshan as a person who knows all you need to see while staying at the Shinagawa beach. I recommend to go to see the moonstone mine with him.

Paradise is calling - a beach straight out of a dream. Sometimes there are really big waves, which I really liked. But you can usually go swimming safely. The hotel has a well thought-out architecture which provides a welcome cool down in the pool area. The bar and restaurant are located to the side of the pool and everything faces the beach, including all the rooms. The room and bed were very comfortable and had plenty of space for us. As everywhere in Sri Lanka, all the staff are really friendly, courteous and polite. You really get the feeling that everyone is trying to make the guests' stay as pleasant as possible. In any case, it was wonderful to simply listen to the sound of the sea while enjoying a good drink and then take a dip in the pool after a swim in the sea. The dinner and breakfast were really exceptionally good. All in all, a fantastic end to our Sri Lanka round trip with a 5-day stay at this hotel.

A superb place to stay when in Sri Lanka. All the staff here are so pleasant and extremely helpful. The surrounds are just idyllic. The Spa facilities here are wonderful so do enjoy a full body massage or other treatment from Priyadarshani who is excellent at her craft and so delightful. I thoroughly recommend this Shinagawa beach but be aware that the waves and tides are very strong but beautiful
