"Their house is located halfway up the mountain, very close by bus from the west gate. The bus stop at the entrance requires a short wait, but you can flag it down. Driving is recommended for more freedom. The rooms are very clean, and the owner and grandma's fried rice is especially delicious. We stayed in a room with a super large balcony and a fantastic view, surrounded by lush bamboo. This place is perfect for quiet tea drinking, meditation, and relaxation. If you can endure solitude and want to connect with nature, then this place is truly a great choice."

"The service was excellent, Check in and check out was smooth and quick. The guy who runs the place went over and beyond. Before we left Chengdu we added the phone number and connected with him on WeChat. He helped check if our train (We bought tickets for Yibin) passed through the nearer train station. He helped to organize a driver for us from Yibin to the hotel. For breakfast the served simple but yummy bamboo noodles. Cleanliness I give them 10/10. The hotel is well maintained, super clean, even under the beds (we moved out 2 beds together). The bed was too comfortable. The pillows were super great. Had a beautiful 2 nights of sleep. The room was spacious. Location is great. A little away from the main area but close enough to walk there. the museum bus station is a few meters away (3 mins walk) and the cable car is 1km away. I suggest walking there, its a beautiful walk surrounded b bamboo. The guy who runs the place helped us to map the route to the places we wanted to see. I would stay here again."

I suggest booking on-site because they're different from others; once you book, it's non-refundable if you don't stay (it says free refunds within a few minutes, no refunds after that, and we only found this out later). The staff initially said it was refundable because of a location issue, but even after we went downstairs, it was still non-refundable. We contacted Ctrip multiple times, and they said the hotel owner told us to contact them. The owner then said the gist was no refund unless we stayed. The person who contacted us downstairs even suggested we eat at their restaurant. Otherwise, it was okay. Especially the front desk staff were polite and enthusiastic. Environment: The 199 package only covers the first floor, which has a lot of mosquitoes. I don't recommend using the 199 booking; the mosquitoes are plentiful and the environment is bad. I also suggest rooms on the 4th or 5th floors with enclosed windows. Rooms without enclosed windows also have a lot of mosquitoes. The 4th and 5th floors are a bit more expensive. I don't recommend the private hot spring rooms; the tub there wasn't clean, with a lot of limescale. We originally went there for this, but later we didn't want it anymore. Facilities: There's free parking, but you might need to be a little careful because the slope is quite steep.
