Around late September, the water level at this property is reduced such that powered watercraft are unable to be taken in/out of the water on the boat ramp located on the property and the dock will be on the ground due to the reduced water levels. Kayaks and paddleboards are available so guests can access the beautiful lake year round at their discretion. When you go fishing at Douglas Lake, a fishing license is required (sorry, I didn't make the rules).Although the water levels are lowered late September to late-April, there are still plenty of ways to enjoy the outdoors and the lake. While the water is low, take a walk to the end of the point where the terrain looks otherworldly and unique. This is the ideal place to sit and watch the sunset; or you can find the best rocks to practice and perfect the art of skipping stones and pass this simple pleasure to the littles in your family. There is also a fire pit on the patio which is great for making smores after a long day exploring Douglas Lake. There is a charcoal grill, for your use.
