The lake can be accessed quickly as its only 5 minutes away within community. Keowee Key is a friendly gated community with walking trails & is rated tops of like communities across the nation. It’s located approximately 10 miles from Clemson, Seneca & Walhalla. and the lovely quaint towns of Cashiers and Highlands, NC are approx 30 mins away. Greenville and Asheville are an hour drive. Atlanta is a 1.5-2 hour drive away. GSP airport is little over and hour drive away. Lake Jocassee, Tablerock state park and numerous waterfalls are very drivable with in 30 mins. **The outdoor swimming pools ARE now OPEN!! Grab a lounge chair and soak in some Vitamin D. The outdoor pools are saltwater & one is just steps away from the condo, grab a beach towel out of the basket and walk over! The community fitness center has a large indoor heated pool for use as well. You can have access to all the fitness center has to offer. •You’ll have contactless entry with a keypad at doorknob. The code will be provided the day before your arrival. •On entry through the front door on the main floor you'll find a bedroom, laundry, bath, kitchen and large open living area flooded with light from a full rear wall of windows. •Upstairs, consist of a large carpeted loft bedroom overlooking the living area and the most comfortable bed! If you lay in bed and look out the loft to the wall of windows you feel like you’re in a tree house with all the nature in view. •Though the rear door is a large deck with a nice view of the wooded scenery and the south side community pool, which is located just walking distance from the condo. Just grab one of the beach towels provided and walk over!•The pool is complete with a covered cabana, sun loungers, shade umbrellas, bathrooms, tables & chairs and free WiFi. Our building is the closest to this pool! There is a larger pool located in the north side of our community at the north marina you may use. It has a fantastic view of the lake and offers gradual entry on one end. The heated indoor pool at the fitness center is open year round for use. In the men’s & women’s locker rooms there is a hot tub as well. May need to show gate app.•Beach towels ARE provided and are visibly located in a large basket. Pool noodles are located in downstairs bedroom corner for your use as well. Please do not hang towels on front railings.•Directly in front of our building, steps away, is the South Flagship walking trail, which is paved and spans from the south entrance of the community to the club entrance, approximately 2+ miles in length. Great for early morning or evening strolls. There is another walking trail called the Leisure trail, that runs alongside the lake on the north side of our community with beautiful views as you walk. (No motorized vehicles are permitted on walking trails), your gate app allows entry to NORTH SIDE of community as well. Just drive through the member side of gate with your pass. Everyone is so friendly, be sure to say hi or strike up a conversation!•The interior of the unit is painted, and the entry-level floors are hardwood and tile. •The unit is equipped with fans, smoke detectors (3) as well as a carbon monoxide detector & a fire extinguisher. •The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pans, glassware, wine glasses, wine opener, cooking utensils, microwave, refrigerator, stove/oven, dishwasher, toaster, & a Keurig coffee maker. Coffee pods provided.•Outside the backdoor, you'll find a large deck with two high-top stools and 2 chairs for enjoying your morning coffee or for winding down in the evenings. •Each bedroom Is equipped with a comfortable queen-size bed. In Seneca, 10 miles away, you can find large grocery stores, tho right outside of our east gate there is a gas station, convenience store, spirits & wine store and a Dollar General for quick supplies. A Subway restaurant is located outside the maintenance rd gate. Down the road near the Dollar General is a Mexican grill & restaurant. •Do you play pickle-ball, bocce ball or shuffleboard? I can help reserve a court. Pickle-ball rackets are available for your use in my unit. • At the north marina you’ll find the larger outdoor pool along with a boating store where paddle boards and kayaks can be rented. While at the North pool, various ice cream bars & drinks can be purchased inside the boating office to enjoy. (Credit card) Or pick up a pizza at the bistro and bring it with you to the pool! The start of the Leisure walking trail around the lake right there too. It’s a lovely paved lakeside stroll. •At the community fitness center you can use the fitness machines, play racquet ball, or use the indoor pool and hot tubs. There ‘may’ be a small fee for guests.•This condo building has a small four spot parking lot. ONE spot for each unit in the building. (Please only use one. Parking for your second vehicle is just a short walk across the side road, in the other lot.)Trash pickup is now on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings only around 8am. Trash must be bagged and tied up, no loose trash or they will not take it off. Just 30 minutes from Clemson with private dock on deep, year-round water!Walk up to the front door past the bistro set where you'll later enjoy a cup of coffee overlooking beautiful Lake Hartwell.Inside on the main level you will find an open area combining a super comfortable sitting area with room for the whole family, and the dining area, with seating for six at the table, along with two bar stools at the breakfast bar. In the kitchen, you'll have everything you need, with a coffee pot, microwave, stove, and dishwasher. The side-by-side fridge makes ice quickly to keep your drinks cool on those hot days out at the lake.But that's not what you came for, is it? Outside the sliders, you'll find a huge, screened-in porch with great views down to the LAKE. Two ceiling fans keep you cool when it's hot and there is plenty of seating for whatever you want to do, whether it be relaxing, eating, drinking, or even playing games. A three-burner Weber grill is just outside the porch to handle those tasty grill nights!Back inside, you'll find stairs to a large loft that has a queen sleeper sofa and comfy chair, plus a game table, and a 43" TV. A couple ceiling fans make sure the temperature stays just right.On the main level, down the hallway are the master bedroom with a king-size bed, and the McCoy bedroom with queen. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom - one with a tub and one with an easy-access shower. All bathrooms have towels, hair dryers, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and makeup removers.Head downstairs to the HUGE rec room. There is a pool table and bar area on one side, with comfy furniture and a 60" TV on the other. Down the hallway here, you'll find a bathroom, the Cave (queen bedroom), the Bunker (two twin bunk beds), and the laundry room. In the hall closet, you will find a pack-and-play, booster seat, first aid kit, and some lake toys.Back out to the rec room, you'll see two sliders giving you access to the covered patio, with another table and plenty of chairs for hanging out. You're also right above the firepit area, which is surrounded by hanging lights for the perfect ambience.Travel down the mulch path to the floating dock with plenty of room to sit, swing, jump in the water, and park your boat. There are two tandem kayaks on the walkway, plus a single for kids or smaller adults - remember to wear your life vest; there are some in the dock box. There is room to park your boat in the slip with the lift, or on either side of the dock. The water is 15 feet deep at the end of the dock at full pool (660'), and the channel is a solid 25-27 feet all the way across. Bring your fishing rods - or borrow ours - and see what you can catch right off the dock.You will also have access to the Foxwood Hills Clubhouse, which is only half a mile away. During the summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day), you can use the Olympic size pool, which was recently redone. There are also tennis/pickleball courts, a basketball court, and a nice playground for little ones. If you don't feel like cooking, stop in Thursdays through Saturdays for dinner at the restaurant.While we are out in the country a bit, you do have a convenience store five minutes away (less than 2 miles) for anything you need in a pickle. Stop in and they'll tell you what you need to catch some good fish, and even sell you some bait.There is a gas station, Dollar General, liquor store (closed Sundays), and pizza place less than 15 minutes away on SC-11. You're also about 20 minutes from Seneca and 30 from Clemson.There are some fabulous hiking trails with waterfalls in the area - be sure to check out Stumphouse Tunnel and Yellow Branch Falls! Boat Info:We have a single slip dock with a swim platform. The slip has a lift, but you can also tie your boat up on either side of the dock. The closest boat ramp is the Choestoea Boat Ramp - 2.1 miles away by car and 3.4 miles by boat. There is plenty of room in the driveway/front yard to park your trailer. If you would like to rent a boat, we recommend Harbor Light Marina.
