Bali Denpasar 5-star Hotels

I do not rate Prama a straight 5s because I do not want other people to know how good it is. We stayed in Prama for six nights from 24 to 30 October 2024. We chose Prama for, mainly, its location, price and nice pool. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the room was newly renovated and quite big. We booked the cheapest room but the view was still Okay. The layout is perfect, you walked down from your room, a short stroll to the pool and then you would reach the breach in no time. There were plenty of sun loungers so you did not have to fight for one. There were countless numbers of eateries and massage ladies outside. One hour massage only costed you HKD50, much much cheaper than other East Asian countries. The price of drink and food was also unbelievably low. On average it costed less than HKD200 for a quite decent dinner with meat, fish, prawn, veggie and drinks. It is not perfect, of course. There are places that still have room for improvement. An example is airconditioning and water pressure. But Prama offered to swap a room for us, which we politely declined as we found the situation bearable. Yes, Prama showed some sign of age. But you were having a vacation in a sub-tropical region. The vibe was exactly what we looked for. So no complaint at all. All in all, we were highly satisfied with Prama and will definitely come back.

An excellent resort, if that is what you are looking for, a very big resort. Service is excellent, everyone, including the gardeners were all friendly. Breakfast buffet was excellent and serene, western or Indonesian. Beautiful atmosphere, very very Bali green. Beach is kept clean and the water was clean. Many pools to choose from, the group of pools out front by the beach are nice but crowded, so many lounge chairs. They offered an adult-only pool, outside the fitness room, which was perfect for us (senior couple). Fitness center was also very nice, decent equipment and an outside yoga/stretching area. Our room was a standard room, as we expected to get upgraded based on our Hyatt membership but it was Lunar/Chinese New Year and occupancy was at 100%. The room was way too small,, 25sqm, for us...huge king size better, bigger then a football field but left little room for anything else. Sanur was great, great main street lined with all kinds of restaurants and shopping with the major Mall about ＜1KM away, beach side pedestrian walk was perfect for a morning jog and lined with restaurants and major hotel/resorts. Understandably too crowded during the new year, but once past the holiday, it was quite walkable.

The villa is not well prepared for my family staycation. We had broken tv, bathroom electricity black out at one of the room. Super slow internet even just to watch the Netflix. Not recommended for digital nomad out there. Living room quite dusty and got kinda moldy roof smell when we turn on the fan. Really need to improve the service quality especially for local guest.

Awesome Hotel to stay with the family… Very spacious rooms and suitable for the family. Overall hotel is the great to be if you are visiting bali. Only improvement point - it has very limited menu and portions of food is also limited. Breakfast menu is som limited that my wife avoided eating at the place. Hotel should improve on the menu list and portion of the food.

Having experienced the magic of Sudamala Resort in Senggigi, Lombok, my anticipation ran high for their Sanur resort – and it exceeded every expectation. Our lunch and dinner experiences were equally impressive, with the kitchen team demonstrating remarkable flexibility in accommodating special requests. What truly sets Sudamala apart is their commitment to excellence. When we noticed a minor service discrepancy and shared our feedback, the management team responded swiftly and effectively, demonstrating their dedication to continuous improvement. The resort's team deserves individual recognition. The gardeners maintain stunning landscapes, while the lobby and restaurant staff deliver consistently outstanding service. Several team members left lasting impressions: Kelvin, a trainee who enhanced our beach experience with his attentive service; Dewi at Ares, whose warmth and efficiency made every meal special; and Wida from the concierge team, whose deep knowledge of Bali and engaging conversations added rich cultural context to our stay. As I plan my next adventure to Sudamala's Labuan Bajo property, I'm already anticipating the distinctive charm and excellence that has become synonymous with the Sudamala brand. Two properties down, and my journey through their collection of exceptional resorts continues. A Practical Note for Sanur Visitors: - The location of the hotel is approximately 7 minutes walk from the beach and 10-15 minutes from a variety of restaurants close by. Icon Bali is the newly built shopping centre that's a short Grab/Gojek journey away. Grand Lucky is the large supermarket to visit for Indonesian treats. - For fitness enthusiasts staying at the resort, while the hotel's own gym is under construction, I highly recommend Paradise Bali nearby – a well-equipped facility that’s in close proximity. - As with any tropical paradise, insects are part of the experience. The warm climate of Asia means you'll encounter mosquitos, flies, and ants, particularly during evening hours outdoors. While the hotel expertly manages these natural visitors, you can enhance your comfort by requesting candles from the staff – they're particularly effective when dining or sitting outside. Consider packing citrus-based personal products as well.

Very comfortable stay, the bed, pillows, room - everything was great! Such a pity we didn’t get to use the huge bathtub - the hotel even provides a flower bath service. Great location along the chill Sanur beach area, with lots of food, shopping and massage places within walking distance. Buffet breakfast was average - we didn’t find it that enticing. Took a while to get our coffee and plates cleared even though staff were aplenty.

The room is clean, hygienic, tidy, comfortable, and bright. I like it very much! The hotel services from the front desk, breakfast waiter and doorman are considerate and attentive! Will continue to stay next time.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom villa with pool, comfortable king size bed, loved the outdoor area for sitting and relaxing. Staff very friendly and always there to help. We liked the location at the bottom end of Sanur as it had all the restaurants etc we wanting, was only a 5 minute walk to the beach and was a lot quieter on the road which was 1 way for cars.

Very good and very strong, I will come, it is as beautiful as the family, two Australian bosses are very good, there are swimming pools, there are two dogs. I admire this couple, then know how to enjoy life, life goals !

There were too many mosquitoes, so I couldn't sleep, and the sound of birds was so loud and close that I was scared at times. And the air conditioner wasn't cool so it was a bit hot. The private pool was quite wide and deep, but it was a little disappointing that the flowers and grass were not maintained. A pool villa with a very private feeling!! The staff's service room atmosphere was so good!!!!
