We were in this hotel 5 years ago. It was so amazing. Sadly to say it is not the same today. For that price I would expect some small things, clean mosquito nets around the bed, clean curtains, clean toilets and a bit of a maintenance like a fresh painted wall or a replaced item. Also the breakfast had many bread choices and muffins but no Indonesian food like fried noodles or rice.

It was double bedroom villa. Absolutely stunning views!! 10 out of 10. Good restaraunt and spa. Shuttle service. Awesome breakfasts. Short walk to beach and nice snorkeling point (which is a bit overcrowded). Cons: it could be too much nature. Tons of insects, gecko poo, no a/c, noisy nights (frogs, geckos, and so on..).

Gorgeous view, close to nature, food at a level. Villa 15 direct view with a noisy pool and walking path spoil the impression. See the scheme when booking.

The scenery is perfect. I stayed here for the first time when I came to Bali ten years ago. I have never forgotten it. It is a semi-open house. You can see Mount Agung from the living room. I am awakened by the red light of the sunrise every morning and watch the morning. There are busy ships coming and going in the harbor, so you can just stay in the hotel without going out. As a senior yoga enthusiast, I must recommend teacher Kadek who has yoga classes from 7:30-8:30 every morning. He has rich teaching experience and stable correction techniques. Hope to see you next year. Of course we cannot accept the disapproval of living with nature. The one you love will love you very much!

Far from being rated one, this place should be closed down. I am wrting to the health minister and the Balinesee tourist authority as this place is actually a serious health hazard to guests and fellow travellers need to be aware. I am taking the time to write this review not only because of the rat in our room that ran over us while we were in bed, but mainly because the manager has taken no responsibilty for the event and never got in touch despite promises from the staff that he would call within an hour of us checking out After not hearing from him for three days, I wrote a harsh email giving him a chance to repsond to my questions as to what measures the hotel will take regarding pest control and the health safety of future guests. Again no repsonse from the mannger. I then wrote a follow up email when I made it clear that I would get in touch with the health minister and the minister of Bali tourism. Only then did I get a boiler plate response, without substance , responsibility or conviction. This place is un hygenic for tourists I want to make it clear that when we showed the staff the room, they gave us 1 night back in cash which I took. When the manager did respond to my second email after 3 days, he stated that as far as he was concerned one free night is adequate compensation and that's the end of it. The sequence of events is:- We booked the Bloo Lagoon in good faith for 2 nights this November (and also for Christmas which we have subsequently cancelled). It is a collection of villas? which are owned privately. This means they are all in different states of repair so I can only really comment on ours, Villa 5. Please also be aware that they do not all have air conditioning On checking in we were shown to our Villa. I get Eco and I am all for it. We have stayed in Eco Lodges many times, but there is a massive distinction between Eco and dirty/neglected . There were also live? exposed wires sticking out of the wall where the aircon unit had been replaced and the older wiring hadn't been removed. Once in the villa we immediatley noticed that there were no towels and the floors had not been cleaned. There was dust and debris everywhere particulalry around the kitchen area and under the bed (which is raised). Also the mezanine area above the bedroom had clearly not been cleaned for months. We also smelt what in hisdight was rat urine but at the time we thought it may just be damp from the straw roof (as it had been raining a lot). We reported all this to reception, who were ambivalent about it - and I knew then we could have problems. As they say 'rot starts from the top downwards' and I felt this with the management team The first night with all the doors closed in the room (and the air con on) the smell of what we now know was rat urine kept us up . The bed was hard and the mosquito net was beyond dusty. We didnt sleep at all from the smell and thought we'd just picked a bad hotel .We are travelling for two y

Staying at the Bloo Lagoon was an extraordinary experience from the start. Staff were extremely kind, very helpful and maintained a high level of service to guests. The Eco Villas were unique, they were comfortable and the natural eco conscious construction of the Villas was really enjoyable in how well connected we were with nature- a true inside/outside flow. Everything was well thought out and even though the Villas were open, there was enough foliage and greenery to provide privacy. We were lucky enough to arrive before the place became busy and there was a peaceful, calm serenity throughout the resort. There is a wonderful and large pool to cool off in, with plenty of deck chairs and grassy areas to sit on, a restaurant with an amazing buffet breakfast as well as daily yoga classes and options of a Spa experience as well as other activities. We chose to go snorkeling and do a 1/2 day hike which took us through rice fields finishing in the traditional Bali Village of Tenganan. I loved staying here, the design and construction of this Eco Village is outstanding, the views were remarkable and the philosophy of caring for the environment and all this entails resonates with what is needed in our communities. I will definitely return.
