Villa Adi

Beautiful well equipped accommodation. Fresh and fabulous food for vegetarians. Close to shop and cafes, restaurants. Welcoming vibe, good cleaning, fully equipped kitchen for own cooking if desired. Cheap prices for meals - under $10 Aus.

We spent a few days in Villa Amed before a trip to the Komodo national park. It was a lovely place to recover from the long journey. Our villa, Dragon, was very privately placed. We had a beautiful verandah and pool. The beds were comfortable. Bedroom furniture was slightly lacking. There was a small clothes cupboard but no table to put toiletries on, nor even hooks to hang anything, like a towel. The grounds are beautiful and the restaurant adequate but not inspiring. There were plenty of places to eat nearby and to visit. We had some good snorkelling.

Amed stole our heart and so did this villa. From the stunning design, lush gardens and large pool, to the friendly service and beautiful food in the restaurant, we were in heaven. Yes, there can be insects in the open style living space. Do yourself a favour and buy some mozzie coils wherever you go in Bali. The location is between the 2 best snorkelling points and the mini-mart out the front is very convenient. We wished we had booked longer, but will be sure to return!

Nice staff, good view. Watch out for all else. AVOID THIS PLACE. The accommodation is not as advertised and the owner is the rudest man in the world. In fact, I am calling Fraud on this place, and that is not a term I use lately. We booked (and would happily pay for) a two bedroom Villa on the beach. We were given one room on the shore that has another room a short stroll behind it beside the parking lot. There is a small outdoor area with a fridge and sink, but in no way is this a Villa of any description. There are many properties in the Amed area what offer accommodation equal to this and at a much lower rate. *********** was not especially helpful in this matter. I have worked as a travel writer for many years and have seen all manner of travel scams – this “bait & switch” is an old, and unacceptable. Don’t go to Villa Ida – there are many, many other places in Amed all of which will be more honest about what they have to offer.

I have stayed here previously, with much anticipation we were finally able to return! I love these picture-perfect villas with their beautiful semi-circle pools and lush gardens (which have grown a bunch since our last visit!). The onsite restaurant serves delicious food and takeaway Bintangs to sip in your pool. Scooters can be hired at reception which is recommended as the main part of town is a few kilometres walk away (keep in mind it’s very hot in Amed). Conveniently, there are 2 mini-markets right next door and a few great warungs in this quieter part of town. The villas are well stocked with some minor details missed (like the tv in our room with no electric plug 😂) - who cares tho you’ll be in that gorgeous pool anyway! This will be our home-away-from-home wherever we visit Amed, which we hope to do again very soon.
