The hotel closest to Empathy School where the children go to summer camp. The room is clean and spacious. You can also play in the swimming pool after school. The hotel staff are very kind. The restaurant upstairs has authentic Balinese food, and you can also take cooking classes. Spent a great week here.

I stayed at Pesantian Villa (and Warung) in late September 2024 with family. The location is about 15-20 minutes out of the center of Ubud, close enough to the city but far enough away to feel like you're on your own getaway. The villas are truly beautiful. My room was gorgeous and extra large room with a huge deck. The design is perfect and you are enveloped by nature. There was a cute plunge pool a few steps away from my room that I truly enjoyed. The restaurant is fantastic and believe me when I say that every single thing on the menu is delicious. My only disappointment was that I wasn't able to try the fish- which had to be ordered a day earlier. I also didn't have a chance to do the cooking class- which I'll be sure to do next time I'm in town. Chef Santika is so kind and truly thought of everything to make sure you have a great stay (and meal). I will definitely be back.

This is my 4th time doing Chef Sa Tika’s cooking school at his Pesantian villas. I have brought friends and family here many time to do his class and everyone has loved it so much! Rare for Bali classes - you all have and individual cooking station with your own knives and implements and chopping board. Magic hands come and take away the mess and provide you with the next ingredients to prepare - while chef Santika explains the flavours and ways to use your ingredients. It’s all simple and fun and Informative - and oh so so delicious! Thanks again Chef Santika! We will be back!

This was a lovely peaceful place to stay close to everything in Ubud. Our host and his family were so helpful - they reopened the restaurant on our first night so we could have dinner, as well as offering a free shuttle service to see things in the area, such as the monkey forest and waterfalls etc. They were all so friendly, and so were their two adorable dogs! The food was delicious, so we ate there two out of the three nights we stayed. Particularly recommend the crispy duck dish. They also offer a cooking course which we did not have time to do, but given the quality of the food we ate I’m sure it would be a great experience. The room had a very comfortable bed and was very clean, spacious and stylish. We had great nights sleep here as it was so comfy and quiet. Our host went out of his way to help us, even driving us to our next destination. He also made us pancakes and French toast for breakfast even though they weren’t on the menu. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting Ubud!

Me and my girlfriend spent 3 nights here. We were warmly welcomed by Santika. The rooms look beautifully maintained. They may feel a bit clammy, but this is due to the outside air being humid. This is easily resolved by turning on the air conditioning and fan. The bathroom looks very neat and the shower is nice and warm. The bed also sleeps wonderfully. Outdoor pool with beds are also very nice. Santika took us around for a day to the many sights in Ubud, and we also took a cooking course. This is highly recommended!

Excelente Vila, a 4 kms del centro , comimos dos platos típicos con salsa que fue pollo y pato deliciosos. Además Santika fue nuestro guía por Ubud, realmente recomiendo llamarlo porque habla inglés, nos mostró y contó su cultura. Conocimos una cascada, plantación de arroz y de café con la explicación del café Luwuk, el broche de oro fue que nos llevó a conocer donde los locales van a rezar y todo lo que llevó la ceremonia de la bendición , desde vestirnos como ellos a pasar por el agua , realmente una experiencia inolvidable . Lo mejor de todo que te lleva a lugares donde no está todo el turismo, a nosotros no nos gustan los lugares con tanta gente. Gracias Santika, abrazo de Dardo y Silvana
