If you are a beginner in surfing you better look for an alternative. We arrived in the afternoon with 7 persons. Only 4 boards were ready for rent. Remaining boards were broken, incomplete or rented out. Beach and the sea are loaded with rocks which make it dangerous for beginners in surfing. Would have been nice if the team had informed us up front so we could have decided differently. Besides, when we left we were asked to buy entrance tickets.

Note that the previous reviews date from the time of the former owner. This aging surfers camp has clearly seen better days and is in need of some serious maintenance by the foreign owner. It's isolated without transport and there was no food available apart from a meagre breakfast and beer. The area overlooking the Ricky surf beach was dirty and rundown as there is no maintenance. Komang the manager was friendly and helpful but he is not there all the time. The bungalow was ok for 1 night and then I left. Thanks to the Aussie bikers for their company as I felt uncomfortable being there alone. I paid 350,000 IDR but it was overpriced.
