I stayed here for two days. My feeling is that the house is very big, but there are a lot of bugs. The room was crawling with bedbugs. I didn't use the swimming pool from beginning to end. The breakfast was not enough and I had to pay for extra meals. I had to ask the waiter for a toothbrush, and the attitude of the waiter was not good. It felt like a private hotel. It is a very primitive style. The room is clean, but the furniture is old. The shower room is semi-open-air, which leads to a lot of small flying insects... The Damai is a lovely sanctuary in the hills above Lovina. We stayed in a pool studio which was very spacious and beautifully designed. The food, spa treatments and housekeeping were all outstanding. But it is the staff that make your stay so special. We were not very well during our stay and the staff were so kind and understanding. A special Thank you to Wulan or organised a doctors appointment for me, which sorted me out. Another huge plus is the complimentary transfer service. Our drivers were excellent, very safe and incredibly patient when we were beset with bad weather on our return to Denpasar. If you want a peaceful stay in understated luxury and away from the crowds We would highly recommend.
