Marine Hotel Ballycastle

Who doesn't love Ballycastle? It is such a great town in Northern Ireland, and the Marine Hotel is located in a fabulous spot along the seafront. Views are exceptional. So the Marine is in an excellent stop over to discover the historic town of Ballycastle and the surrounding areas. The food was very good, bar and restaurant great, service friendly, professional, and room service appreciated. The management, however, must now focus on making much needed improvements to the bedrooms. The pillows in the executive room were way below standard, the temperature of the room uncontrollable and uncomfortable, the decor very outdated and bland compared to others. However, I really like this hotel, mainly because of the location and I am looking forward to returning. I wish the management and staff a successful future.

Excellent overnight stay again. Special praise for lovely Debbie serving breakfast - couldn't have looked after us better. Room clean & bed really comfortable, view second to none. Chilled filtered water in corridor much appreciated as was the complimentary tea flask & home made shortbread delivered to our room.

We attended Marconi’s Restaurant for Mother’s Day. The food menu has something for everyone, and everyone in our party was very happy with their meals. I had the selection of cheeses to start - a huge plate with which I needed help to finish! I followed this with the white pudding stuffed pork belly, excellent! None of us could eat dessert. The staff were efficient, friendly and neatly dressed and we had a great experience. Well done The Marine!

I stayed at The Marine Hotel for 4 nights on a tour of Ireland and I loved every minute of it. My room on the first floor was comfortable and clean with a great shower. The breakfast was the best I had out of 3 hotels I visited that week. The bacon and sausages were delicious, top quality. The staff were friendly and efficient and made my stay very relaxing. I was lucky to have fantastic weather, so I sat outside every morning with a pot of tea drinking in the stunning views. On 1 occasion, I couldn't get my key card to work. A cleaner not only let me into my room, but she then went to reception and got it updated, above and beyond! Thank you from a very happy customer

Many thanks to all the staff and management at Marine Hotel Ballycastle for the excellent hospitality they gave us during our stay on St Patrick's Day. The front end staff have excellent communication skills and are always interacting with the customer. The same goes for the staff in the Bistro who always make sure we enjoy our meal during our stay. The chefs in the hotel have great cooking skills as the food they prepare are of an excellent standard. We can't forget our Seaview room which we always have during our stay. Walking into it on Monday it was so clean and had such a Spring smell in the room. Once again my husband John and I would like to thank everyone for a first class service during our stay at the Marine. We can't wait until our next visit.

The Marine Hotel is a gem of a hotel situated right on the coastline of Ballycastle We stayed for one night in the Torr Suite, over the St.Patrick's weekend. Room was huge, clean and beautifully decorated with breathtaking beach and sea views. The bed was a comfortable queen size. There was plenty of extras in the room (snacks which included locally produced crisps, tea, coffee and delicious hand made shortbread) There was also a mini fridge in the room with a few complimentary beverages (though I'm not sure this is available in every room). The bathroom had an amazing walk in power shower equipped with luxury toiletries. Our stay included Irish stew in the attached Macroni's restaurant it was served with a lovely complimentary pint of guinness, the stew and the Guinness wheaten that came with it was absolutely delicious, full of flavour. The restaurant boasts a range of local produce on their menu. In the evening there was a turn down service, a complimentary flask of speciality hot tea was delivered to the room to ensure a complete and comfortable nights stay. Breakfast was served in the restaurant between 8-10am, there was vast range of breakfast items including cereal, porridge, fruit, yoghurt, breads, and a delicious hot Irish breakfast fry with a selection of hot & cold beverages. The staff in the hotel, were noticeable busy due to the occasion but were extremely friendly, welcoming, attentive and polite. We checked out at 11am but stayed around Ballycastle to enjoy the St.Patrick's festivities returning to the very busy Marine hotel for a drink in the afternoon.
