The golf resort we stopped at on our last trip to Ireland.
If the weather had been nice, we would have finished with a last round of golf, but unfortunately it rained.
However, the staff were so kind and the atmosphere was so good that it more than made up for it.
Dinner.. The meal at the classic course restaurant was great value for money. My husband and I, who drove a long way, leisurely emptied a bottle of wine.. Guinness at the live music bar..
The Irish people are so kind.. If the ending is good, everything is good~~😁

We stayed in this wonderful hotel during the Christmas period. We had received emails before we arrived, asking for me to make dinner and breakfast reservations. As we turned into the hotel driveway an amazing sight greeted us. Well-manicured grounds and ample parking. We arrived early and the very helpful Concierge took care of our bags, we had lunch in the Kells Bar. The bar food was outstanding, we were presented with a menu by a friendly server very quickly. The food arrived fast and was very tasty. The receptionist called me when the room was ready, The rooms are very clean, comfortable and well-furnished. Even though the hotel was busy, we didn't hear any noise during the night. Our dinner in the restaurant was slick, efficient and extremely good. Service was first class. We visited the leisure centre and as they are everywhere in the hotel, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast the next morning was very well organised and we were served with the minimum of fuss. We were very impressed with the staff, wherever I went the staff genuinely wanted to help in a friendly way. This hotel is a true gem.

We checked in online, which was brilliant and very efficient. Margaret looked after us, and she is always very friendly. Our room 738 was lovely as always, spotlessly clean with an excellent view of the golf course and grounds. We love The Slieve Russell Hotel, and the staff are always very helpful. A big thanks to Ivan and Mihah, who always make us so welcome. We enjoyed our lovely breakfast. Thank you Caroline and Vilma for your excellent service. Enjoyed the evening entertainment and lovely walk around the golf course. Katie on reception is A star. She checked us out and we always appreciate her professionalism and lovely manner. Great to see Tony, the General Manager who is a fantastic ambassador for the Hospitality Industry and we hope to return soon.

The downstairs bar pint larger shandy + pint coke 13 euros but not a pint coke 2 small bottles then told can put more in but more exspensive. A pint not a pint. Large bar area not too busy. No baked beans on full english breakfast so a bit dry to eat. Pool not very big £170 a night.

Stayed here for the first time and this is my honest review: Hotel and decor beautiful Every single member of staff where incredible (they are all a credit to the hospitality sector and the hotel) Our room 207 was nice only gripe was view but would request different one next time I really appreciated the water fountain on the floors and think this is a great feature for sustainability and for customers visiting the hotel, well done for that Didn't use the leisure facilities but my partner did and thinks we were both bit disappointed that we paid so much money to stay and dine, throughout the duration of our stay that I definitely think it should have been complimentary. I have 4 kids and the pool was very crowded and it would have been a lovely feature to have for couples visiting.I hope you change this in the future. Otherwise our stay was really lovely and would be back to visit soon as we loved the grounds so well maintained and felt like it was such a great added feature to this already beautiful hotel. Thank you, hope to visit soon

The hotel is very nice , and there is a nice walk around the grounds, with the pool would be great for families. Dining you have to choose based on what you want. if you want the service and experience go to the main restaurant . However if you are traveling for business and just want food there is the other restaurant at the other end of the Hotel past the pool . this restaurant has great food and even better views, but do not expect service. the restaurant manager has a permanent scowl so you feel like an inconvenience and waiting staff are young. Breakfast is back in the main restaurant food is great but again forget the idea of service. Pool bar rooms are all excellent. Hotel is big you get your steps in just walking from room to breakfast.
