We only had 1 night in this lovely hotel. We had been for dinner before as we were in an Airbnb locally but this time passing through decided to try the hotel. Our room was in the main house and it was beautiful, lovely comfy bed and nice modern bathroom. The restaurant for dinner was excellent and staff were very friendly and helpful. The only suggestion I have is to make it aware to all guests where the self serve coffee is at breakfast and also what extras are available . The breakfast staff were extremely busy and it was not easy getting their attention to ask. But would definitely recommend this hotel and restaurant.

Very nice, well-kept hotel. There are smaller rooms on two floors in the neighboring building behind the parking lot. The rooms in the large building, on the other hand, are huge. There is also an elevator here. Breakfast is served in the main building as a buffet and leaves nothing to be desired. The restaurant has a wonderful menu. I have been coming here for years for work reasons and have never been disappointed. Quite the opposite. Since the "new" main building with a modern restaurant has been built, I wouldn't choose any other hotel in the area.

I slept 1 night in the annex hotel (motel). Room 201 is completely renovated. Television, small wardrobe and very well appointed bathroom with a foehn. Ideal for a short stay. River view. Car parking is located opposite the motel. Clothing service available. Visited during the month of February 2022.

Family rooms: two narrower double beds and a single bed. Everything very clean and new. Not the most expensive material, but okay. Staff very friendly and child-friendly! In the evening we were able to drink a nice hot chocolate.

Beautiful historic house with no interior charm. Cold and unprofessional welcome. The same goes for the restaurant and breakfast. The hotel supports and encourages motorcycle tours. Ask for a river side room. The road is very busy.

We are well-paying guests and live in the village. We have had many negative experiences. But today I have to comment on it. Sunday 7:05 p.m., we wanted to eat. The embarrassing chef loudly commented: yes, great. When I asked the waiter about this customer-unfriendly attitude, his terse answer was: OK. Mr. Heutschi would definitely not tolerate something like that. We left the restaurant and were greeted very warmly in the Schmitte.

Great hotel where we spent one night in a pleasant room, in an annex building (10 m). Great bedding, all the necessary comfort and very good communication via internet (arrival/departure/digital code). Free parking 4 m from the rear entrance of the hotel. Great lunch in an idyllic setting with an incredible choice and very friendly staff! For the price there is nothing to say, I will happily return to this hotel! Dieses Haus wurde uns von in der Nähe wohnenden Bekannten empfohlen - und wir waren nicht enttäuscht. Problemlose Reservation direkt via E-mail für ein Superior Doppelzimmer im Hauptgebäude (früherer Kornspeicher?): grosszügiges Zimmer (wie verlangt ruhig - nach rückwärts - gelegen) mit hoher Balkendecke mit allem was es braucht, gut durchdacht eingerichtete Dusche/WC (kürzlich renoviert). Betten sind bequem, für uns fast etwas zu weich. Alles sauber und in gutem Zustand. - Das Frühstücksbuffet (in vollständigem self service) ist recht vielseitig - alles in Ordnung. Am Ostersonntag hätten wir uns allerdings etwas mehr Oster Ambiance erhofft, ausser den sehr spärlichen entsprechenden Dekorelementen. Die Mitarbeiter sind korrekt, eine besondere Gastfreundschaft oder Herzlichkeit ist uns allerdings nirgends aufgefallen.
