Beautiful place and delicious food. Daughter took us for Father’s Day. We will definitely be returning. Landlady Michelle was so sweet and welcomed us along with the waitress. Highly recommended

First time and won’t be the last. Such a beautiful place. Food was amazing. New landlady is perfect for the place. She made us feel so welcome

Went for Sunday roast. Limited menu: beef or lamb, chicken and vegetarian option. I had to have the chicken as they couldn’t do the other meat well done, my friend had the beef. Very rare and looked very fatty and unpleasant. Good portion but £45 for just that and two drinks. Some muddle about what was vegan on the dessert menu so we didn’t bother. Will stick to other nearby option which has all you can eat carvery with far more choice. Disappointing but have had good lunches there in the past.

Would definitely never return. Arrived on a wet and windy evening twelve minutes later than the time we had booked. Greeted with the comment, well you are late in arriving. Please order quickly as I have another party due. When we entered the pub it was empty with nobody there, the “party” due to follow us consisted of just three people. Chicken was appetising spoilt by French fries very definitely overcooked.

Fantastic lunch menu at a bargain price! We stopped at The Exeter Inn on our way through to Dulverton and it did not disappoint. For £10 we had a choice of approximately 6 main meals and a drink, including a variety of alcoholic beverages which we felt was amazing value. The food did not disappoint and the service was fantastic too! Will definitely be back when next in the area.

Delicious food, great service, nice atmosphere. We visited on a Wednesday and took advantage of their supper club. £19 for two courses and £10 off a bottle of wine. Delicious food. Fabulous service. Quiet and calm atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit of you are in the area.

Whilst on holiday my wife & I visited The Exeter Inn on two occasions to dine. Bampton has a limited number of places to eat without travelling some distance so we found The Exeter Inn nice and handy with the bonus that they serve food on six evenings a week. The food served was excellent, full of flavour, served quickly and with a smile. Jonathan was a great host and we thought to whole experience was top class and would recommend to anyone in the area looking for good food in a public house/hotel with a great atmosphere and at a reasonable price.

Had a wander down here while staying in Bampton. It didn't have much to offer for the length of the walk, so we sadly didn't return. The barman was lovely and served us well, but then all we could hear was him complaining about his job to other customers, which let him down. Maybe had it been busier the atmosphere would have a bit more inviting.
