500 Rai Floating Resort

Every staff speaks good English, very nice. The environment is extremely amazing. There forces you to put down your phone enjoy your holiday because there has no signal at all. But in the resort providing WiFi (not free). We definitely will go there again

They didn’t respond to my email about how to get to the hotel, had to figure it out on my own. Don’t respond to social media messages either which is a shame. The place is hard to get to. The food was alright. But the view makes up for all of the above.

We arrived with four couples and beautiful day. the staff was warm and welcoming to us. Our room was well appointed and clean- very comfortable with amazing views. Food was beyond expectations. It is very very good given location and the remoteness the location. The activities will keep you occupied for a couple days. We can’t say enough good things about the staff.

Amazing place! Definitely worth to visit. Very special place and atmosphere. Nature around is magnificent. Take a chance to see wildlife P.S. if you want good massage to unwind after busy day - ask for P Jim. She is the bets! You would not regret

An outstanding experience! I stayed one night with my daughter and mother. It was an amazing experience, and my only regret is that I stayed just one night. We're definitely visiting again. The locating is breathtaking, the rooms very comfortable, with each villa having their own kayak with life jackets, complimentary. The staff are so kind and caring that I was blown away. The receptionist Khun Oum and the restaurant staff Khun Praew and Khun Nipah went above and beyond to make the right suggestions on food and activities. Right from the time I made the reservation, which was very last minute, and only a day before the check-in, Khun Bua and Khun Mook responded with helpful tips. We hired a private boat for the transfers as it takes 1.5 hours from the pier to get here. The food was great, too. The hotel is not cheap, but it's worth every penny spent. They're also sustainable in their practices, which is refreshing. You get fresh drinking water for free all day and no plastic bottles. You can book activities at the hotel at a reasonable price. We loved this place and highly recommend it.

If you're a frequent traveller to luxury resorts, you're likely to be a little disappointed by the infrastructure at 500 Rai. The resort is getting older and could do with a refresh. However, as your stay there unfolds, you realise that what you're paying for is the experience. Khao Sok is otherworldly and 500 Rai is located at the edge of an open section of the lake with stunning morning views (and sunrises if you're lucky) over the distant jungle peaks. It's one of the furthest resorts from the lake pier which means you get great sightseeing trips through the most dramatic parts of the lake on the way there and back. The welcome is warm and genuine, the service lovely and the atmosphere calm, unlike some other resorts we passed where guests were blaring out loud music from their rooms, drowning out the sounds of the gibbons calling, the water lapping and the birds calling. Why?! The morning lake trips and evening wildlife safaris at 500 Rai are wonderful and the day trip to Pakarang Cave simply unforgettable, helped by the most glorious weather that made all the colours sing. Thank you to Sunny for being such a fabulous guide! The food at the resort is good (but could be better) and the choice is generous, the beds are comfortable and the swimming pool a novelty (great for kids) although the lake swimming is just as much fun. Would we go again? Without the resort being updated, probably not but we had a wonderful time in the park and are very glad we went. We also want to thank the team at 500 Rai for their flexibility when our friends had to cancel their trip to Thailand - it was much appreciated.
