Banbury (M40, J11)

Wonderful staff, very attentive and proactive. Our parents stayed there as well and we all had a great night sleep. We specially liked the taxi booking system they had in which you push a button in reception and they tell you the taxi number and at what time is is going to arrive. They could include the opening hours in their menu as we didn’t know at what time they closed. There is no phone in your room so you have to go downstairs to order the food for it to be delivered to your room (and presumably pay there as well) The kiosk check-in wasn’t working so we had to wait for a person to arrive. The drop your card system for checkouts is great!

The stay overall was good. He had a very lovely and quiet room overlooking the Oxford canal in Banbury. The hotel is perfectly well located right next Castle Quay (main shopping centre in Banbury City Centre) There is an arcade right in front of the hotel with cinemas, restaurants, bowling, gaming meters away from the hotel. I would say the location is just great. As for the staff. They were NOT great. I believe they lack of proper training to receive, register and welcome guests.

Friendly and helpful staff, however this premier inn needs a complete revamp. It is suffering from previously being a Holiday Inn Express and some of the bathroom/wet room fittings indicate this and are past their best. Sadly I had the feeling that everywhere needed a deep clean including, carpets, upholstery etc. This Premier Inn is looking tired and really needs the decorators inn before very long! The plus point at the moment is the price, extremely reasonable compared with other Premier Inns.

Stayed on pur way to Alton towers for one night to split up the journey. Staff were soo welcoming and friendly. We arrived at approx 19.30, checked in quickly with the kids, we had the cot set up ready, and had a clean room on the ground floor. Had a pleasant stay and would definitely use in the future.
