This is the worst place I have stayed at in all my travels. I could not even stay, I had to leave after 5mins. Firstly, the location of the property (on ***********) is not accurate. I booked this places as I wanted somewhere close to the train station to catch an early train the next morning. When I arrived at the address no hotel existed. The building had been demolished. The contact number on *********** was not accurate either. I finally managed to get through to a number and a local guy gave me another address. This was a further 20minutes walking further away from the train station. When I finally arrived I was concerned as the neighbourhood did not seem that friendly and ultimately was a group of high rise properties (a bit like a Council estate). When I managed to find reception I complained about the location and he meagrely apologised. I was taken to the room by another guy. It was on the 9th floor. When he opened the door, all the fuses were turned off. He then just left me. The issues I faced: There was no wifi (looking back this may not have been advertised). No kitchen existed. The place was dirty and falling apart. The fridge was not clean. The towel was damp. The balcony door did not shut properly or lock. There were flies in the room. I was so disappointed that I left and went downstairs to request a refund. In reception it was a new guy. I requested a refund and he started laughing. 5 other guys came into the room, some were smoking, and they started saying things to me in their native language, laughing, and taking photos and videos. I felt quite intimidated. I managed to call the number I had called earlier and explained the situation and complained, requesting a full refund. He said I could request a refund through ***********, which I agreed to and left as quickly as I can. That night I tried to request a refund, but no such function existed. I contacted *********** customer service and explained the situation. This only occurred last night so the process is ongoing and I am still hoping for it to be sorted. I am not so concerned about the money, after all it was only 10GBP. I am concerned for anyone else that falls into the same trap. I have requested *********** remove this property from the website to avoid other people making the same mistake I did. Hopefully this review will also do the same.
