Hotels near Ganesha Temple, Bangkok

Requested new wing behind, but was given old wing front. Room though spacious, but is dim old fashion Thai style deco furnishings. Beds can feel spring not comfy to sleep, unlike last time stay. Hotel does have many Chinese tourists, so may be a bit noisy at lobby.

While it may not match the luxury of five-star hotels, this hotel has made significant strides in improving its service over the years. If you're looking for an affordable cheap not shabby-looking yet comfortable option, this is the place to choose. The staff are polite and dedicated to providing excellent service.

I would probably not recommend this hotel for the casual traveller based on location alone which is a bit odd, but if someone needs to be in this area or if someone is quite flexible about location then it can be a value choice to consider. This hotel would probably be a better fit for people who are not elites of the IHG rewards program because the benefits of being a Diamond guest are slim to none at this property: all rooms are standard rooms so upgrades do not exist, and breakfast is free for all guests so being Diamond does not give anything extra. The room was fine, air conditioning worked well, and wifi was fast. The only issue I noticed is the way the room is designed, if looking out the window from the sofa you have a view of your neighbor right in front which is not ideal. For the price paid I thought I get a bit more at other hotel chains but this hotel was not bad on any individual metric so it's serviceable.

We returned to Bangkok and decided to give a try to this 6 month new hotel. It's price was SGD$73 per night for a deluxe king but room sizes are similar even in the deluxe queen or deluxe double rooms. Front desk service is good and polite. And they provide free flow white bread and cappuccino in the lobby. But if you drank up the 2 bottles of water provided, the hotel sells bottled water at 10 bahts. The hotel is only 15 minutes walk to Pratunam but you'd need to cross 2 busy streets and a rail road just follow the locals and raise your hand to wave at the driver before crossing the road. Ratchprarop airport rail is also 5 minutes walk from the hotel and connects conveniently to the rest of the rail network. Food wasn't a problem as a 10 minute walk we arrive at Rangnam road where we visited the Famous Kuam Seafood restaurant as well as the variety of eateries, as well as shopping delights at King Power duty free and Century Mall at Victory monument. But if you are a light sleeper then this hotel isn't for you. Thin walls was a problem and others people chatting can be heard quite abit. Thin windows and lack of soundproofing also let in all the motor cycle and motor vehicle noises into the late night and very early mornings. The rooms do not have any wardrobe too so there were no extra pillows to sandwich myself for each of the 5 nights I stayed. I regretted paying up for my entire stay when I arrived because as early as my first night, the city noises bothered me. I would recommend the hotel because it's clean, new and friendly service. And they acknowledge that the way the hotel was oriented meant that no room was quieter nor noisier than another. If walking to the train station or Rangnam road for food is your plan then please remember to raise your hand and make eye contact with the driver before crossing safely.

Good stay but a little pricy I stayed for 5 nights in movenpick sokumovit bangkok The room size is good , good mattress and pillow House keeping are good , just I feel itchy and insects bites which left red bite mark to my legs but since I was tired the whole day along I could sleep The hotel I’m the middle between Nana and Asok BTS station they offer toktok to terminal 21 every half hour untill 8 pm which was good The chocolate party every day from 4 to 5 pm was good one but the time may be not suitable for all guest Becouse it’s the time for tour around so I could attended a t just once during my stay The breakfast varieties are mainly toward Asians although it’s big buffet but I was expecting a better food quality especially on movenpick hotel It’s a little boring especially for long stay every day the same exactly I complaint from the absence that of Thai usual tropical fruits when I couldn’t see papaya which really I love in Asia The second day I expect they will offer it since I asked but unfortunately not Then the third day the Restutant manger brought me a plate of papaya for me which is good personal try to satisfy the guest. But in general the quality of bakery is not that good even honey looks like watery syrup All in all it’s good exprience but the high price is not justified by the quality I’m not sure if I will go again or

The hotel is a bit tired-looking and is within a 5 to 10-minute walk to the BTS and Metro. It is very near the Red Light District Street, and you may not like walking along the street in the evening. My chair has a big hole, and I wonder why the hotel did not mend it. Also, the floor is parquet and is slippery when wearing socks or room slippers.

- Great location at middle of Bangkok, walking distance to terminal 21. Plenty of restaurant and street nearby. - Hotel Interior is good and got friendly staff. - Another door with shorter distance to main road, few good massage centre include Healthland there.

The location is great! It is 5 mins from the BTS. The staff are very friendly, passionate and helpful. They are very proactive in helping and always welcome us with a big smile. The rooms are clean and comfortable. However, the pillows are too soft for us. The WiFi is not stable. We could not use the WIFI in one room. The swimming pool is nice and it’s 1.5m deep which is perfect for beginners. The gym room is a bit too hot and old but it’s still acceptable. The service is amazing! We will definitely stay in Shama again.

Went with family and booked a one bedroom suite. Great location, lovely room with an extra bed, good pool, nice staff, wonderful room service. Away from the hustle bustle in Sukhumvit area. Very close to 7/11 and couple of Indian restaurants though not tried. The breakfast area is little small so choose your time accordingly else one has to wait or sit outside. Vegetarians will have a nightmare as there's not much in the menu, but they have lovely kitchen in the room. So, I would strongly suggest to carry maggi and other stuff if you are going from India. We didn't carry anything and we missed it. Washing machine inside the room is very useful if the stay is for 4-5 days. Skytrain station is a little far from there but I would recommend not to use it as taxis are far cheaper for the shorter distances. Ms. Cream at the reception is needed to be given a special mention here as she was really good at her work in terms of check-n and other queries. The entire staff is extremely helpful. Overall, recommended.
