The place is beautiful, but the service was terrible. At reception, no one greeted me or gave directions to the spa. At the spa, no one welcomed me, and the lockers were broken. I left my valuables with the staff, but later found them left unsecured on a table. When I asked for them back, they said, "We don’t know whose they are. Just take them if they’re yours." To make matters worse, the restaurant had flies that constantly bothered us while eating. The lack of professionalism and cleanliness made the experience very disappointing. I would not recommend this place.

We love this place. Everyone is very friendly and polite; the food is delicious (especially breakfast) and the facilities are very nice and cozy; the pool is warm and the massage “Renovation of Rosemary” was just perfect. We went as a family and enjoyed it a lot. Perfect place for a enjoyable vacations.

The Samari hotel grounds are lovely, with beautiful architecture, decorations, and gardens. We were upgraded to a nicer room for free. However, the hot tubs, steam room, and dry room were all tepid when we arrived during operational hours. They significantly overcharged us for taxi service (presumably taking a large cut of the service). The restaurant was understaffed each time we went. A bit disappointing given the cost of the hotel stay.

Amazing place to relax and enjoy as a couple, this Spa-Resort exceeded our expectations first class rooms and spa, all the staff is very kind, attentive and helpful. The food was delicious, with healthy and tasty options. I totally recommend this place for anyone looking for a rejuvenating and restorative retreat. I will come back soon.

My husband and I recently tried a massage service that was overall quite pleasant, but unfortunately not as effective as I had hoped. The ambiance was soothing—soft lighting, calming music, and a peaceful atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. The therapist was friendly and professional, taking the time to ask about any specific areas of tension or discomfort. The massage itself was relaxing, and the pressure was just right for a stress-relieving experience. However, despite the enjoyable nature of the session, I didn’t feel much relief from the muscular tightness I had been hoping to address. The techniques seemed to be more surface-level, focusing more on general relaxation rather than targeting deep tissue. While it was a nice way to unwind and certainly helped with mild stress, I didn’t feel the lasting benefits I’ve come to expect from therapeutic massages. It was a good experience for relaxation, but if you’re looking for more intense muscle relief or a solution to chronic pain, this might not be the best fit. Still, for a peaceful, low-pressure experience, it’s definitely worth considering.

I had an incredible experience at Samari Spa Resort in Baños, Ecuador. Traveling all the way from California to visit family, I couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. The resort’s amenities were top-notch, providing everything we needed for a comfortable and memorable stay. The customer service was exceptional, with staff going above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and cared for. The Sunday brunch was a highlight, offering a delicious variety that catered to everyone in our family. We’re already looking forward to our next stay. Thank you to the staff who went out of their way to make our stay memorable!

Five stars! Samari Resort exceeded all our expectations for a weekend getaway. We visited for the Sunday brunch and were thrilled by the fresh, delicious traditional dishes and outstanding customer service. The attention to detail from the staff, along with the warm atmosphere, made our stay truly special. I stayed the night and can’t wait to return with my family. Every aspect of the experience from the food to the hospitality was exceptional. Highly recommended!
