No air conditioning, no lift, no luxuries, no frills. So why the five stars? This is a rare gem in Mallorca - a hotel still run by a family, and retaining the charm and history of the building it once was. The views are stunning - from the rooms and the terrace where you eat. Breakfast is a self-service buffet, and it really is worth your while grabbing a tray and taking your choices out onto the terrace. We didn't take evening meal here, because the Son Tomas restaurant is just round the corner - but we understand from those who did that it was excellent. We have already booked a room for April next year.

Very nice, although air condition in all room should be standard - especially in July-August. Friendly staff, but quite hefty restaurant prices compared to overall culinary quality. Very nice pool area and overall a pleasant experience.

Fabulous location with a beautiful terrace looking out to the sea. Owner and staff friendly but service could have been a bit more attentive. Menu was fairly priced, plenty of choice, and ordered and arrived in good time. Although it was very windy and warm the staff and guests all coped well! The parking was tricky as non on site, there was a multi-storey across the road but it just ate money and didn’t produce a ticket!

Great location in centre of very pretty village with an outstanding terrace and view. Really lovely staff, great for drinks and lunch. But the rooms are spread over four floors with no lift so hard work with a suitcase! Rooms are clean but basic. The original building is beautiful but the bedroom building, although having fabulous sea views, is very noisy.

Although this is a favourite place of ours to stay at, on this occasion we were stopping off for a drink during a walk from Esporles. The views from their terrace are amazing - looking out to sea, and also looking down on the rooftops of Banyalbufar. Worth seeking out!

It was good to return after COVID, and once again enjoy the amazing views from this hotel. The location is amazing, and the sunsets are unforgettable. They now do a la carte evening meals rather than set meals for half board - we didn't eat here because it seemed expensive, and Son Tomas is just round the corner - however, I must confess that lots of other people must have felt the food was worth the price, as it was always very busy. Be aware that there is no air conditioning, but the views and location make up for this. Huge pool, with lots of sunbathing areas.

After a long drive, we quickly decided to stop at Sa Baronia. The location in the wine region of Mallorca is great, the view from the room is breathtaking, the room facilities leave a lot to be desired. The breakfast is OK but not really worth mentioning. The hotel is recommended for one night, but I would advise my friends against a longer stay. The parking spaces are a few meters further up the hill, so it is important to reverse right in!
