Blonsay Tropical Rainforest Resort Hotel

It was wonderful place, time and accumodation. We would like to stay there more and more. Very fresh and tasty breakfast, very kind and helpful personel, they solved all our issues and we did almost whatw planned to do. Thank you so much. Views and swimming pool are great.

Mixed review. Overall wasn't bad, but the listing/photos are misleading and I wouldn't have stayed here knowing the experience in advance. Positives: - Good service from staff - Walking distance (10 mins) from Yanuo forest - Short taxi (15 mins) to Binlang ethnic village Negatives: - Mold in shower + cockroach in hairdryer bag - Photos and description misleading, we booked the Spring Bud Germination Double Bed Room but were told it doesn't come with a pool upon arrival so were 'upgraded' to the Autumn Rhyme pool, which also didn't come with a private pool as is listed (there is a shared pool available) - Did not see any other guests during our stay, feels very remote and isolated - Photos were slightly misleading; e.g., there is no private pool for the villas

From the photographs we were really looking for to our trip to bulongsai but unfortunately it did not meet our expectations. It is a shame because you can tell that when the place first opened it must have been truly beautiful but it has run down since then. The room itself is modern and the TV is great with lots of free foreign films, the maid is kind and topped up our water and towels everyday but it could be cleaner. There was a lot of hair and dust in the room and the pool was a little dirty. The main pool was a little dirty too and the pool guy just seemed to sit their on his phone all day long. The kitchen waitresses were lovely and thank you to the receptionist for helping us book a taxi but the overall impression is that everyone is tired and not bothered by the state of the hotel. The scenery is beautiful but even the paddy fields are a little unkept. Finding food is a mission. The hotel restaurant is nice and there are a few little bare minimum shops on the site but be aware that the location is in the middle of nowhere far away from the beaches of Sanya. There is a little petting zoo and it seems like a good place for children. The hotel itself was advertised as a villa but really you just get a room like any other hotel. The hotel is mixed in with a rural village so be aware if you are foreign you will get a lot of strange looks and stared at often but on the whole everyone is friendly. I have mixed feelings about this place. It just needs rejuvenating which would not be too hard if the staff were a little more proactive and if there were more things in the area and food options it would be better. Yanoda park is not far from the hotel, I'd say if you're only planning to stay a couple of nights it's ideal but a week was far too long for us. Oh and the breakfast was good overall if you like Chinese food. The zhongzi was my favourite.
