West Street Hotel

I absolutely loved this hotel! Great location! I loved the room and I really loved the coffee bar they had for guest on each floor. They had a decent fitness room. I would stay here in a heartbeat! I was so happy I was able to stay here for 2 nights. The staff was very nice as well!

Loved, loved this place. Perfect location. Super clean, wonderful pressed sheets, great shower and on top of all of that…they have 2 yellow labs and a real wood fireplace in the foyer! I mean, COME ON! Staff was friendly and helpful…Jennifer especially went out of her way to help us with all kinds of things! Don’t hesitate to book a room! Our room had a balcony that overlooked the bay…with a screen door so you can feel the breeze! Every little touch was actually perfect…down to even the smell of the lobby upon coming in!

I only had time to stay for one night, but I definitely would love to go back for a longer stay next time! The view of the harbor and the ocean was incredible, I could never get tired of sitting out on the deck and watching the boats and the street performers. The room was very, very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Everyone at check-in and checkout was super nice, and overall, the experience was five star!

This hotel is perfectly located in Bar Harbor. The room (Harbor view) was perfect and really nice! The staff super friendly and I would definitely recommend it. The rooftop pool was great and we were lucky enough to see the fireworks on the 4th! The rates were definitely pricey but I think for the location (especially parking) it was worth it.

Second time staying at the West Street Hotel. We stayed in a King With Sleeper Sofa - Oceanfront (2 nights June 14 and 15). We have been to Bar Harbor / Acadia 8 times staying at the Bar Harbor Inn 5x, West Street Hotel 2X and Bar Harbor Hotel 1X. The location and amenities of West Street Hotel are outstanding except for one item. The selection of food items in the on floor pantry was underwhelming at best. The Keurig coffee machine was fine but the remaining items consisted of water bottles, apples, oranges, pears and Kind bars. Hardly a robust spread worthy of a lodging at this price point. The hotel management needs to provide a better selection of food items in the pantry. The on-line reservation lists the pantry as follows: "Also included is complimentary access to our well-stocked guest pantries with beverages and snacks." As mentioned, what was present in the pantry was poor. A small point to an otherwise wonderful lodging, but the management can do better. I understand Paddy's is located adjacent for a dining experience and we did eat there this trip and have eaten there in the past. Nevertheless, for an example of what can be provided at a similar price point as the West Street Hotel you only need to look at the wonderful cornucopia of drink and food items provided at the nearby similarly priced lodging, the Bar Harbor Inn. Their bountiful and complimentary continental breakfast makes the pantry at the West Street Hotel look sad by comparison.

I contacted Nicole (the general manager) regarding our reservation. She was so helpful- even moving stuff around so we could book our favorite room. She is a big part of what makes West Street Hotel such a fabulous place to stay. We know our visits to Acadia will be that much more enjoyable because we stay at this wonderful hotel
