Mulan Tea Lodge: A Poetic Retreat Blending Orchid Elegance and Pu'er Charm in Menghai
Nestled in Shahe Town, Menghai County of Yunnan Province—renowned as "China's Pu'er Tea County"—lies Mulan Tea Lodge, a poetic retreat where "orchid" is the soul and "Pu'er tea" is the essence. Only a 50-minute drive from the downtown area of Jinghong, its advantageous geographical location perfectly combines convenient transportation with the tranquility of the mountains.
Stepping into the lodge, you enter an elegant world where "orchids and tea coexist". Lush green trees surround the area, dotted with ancient flame trees that cast dappled light across the courtyard. A serene atmosphere washes over you, as if you have stepped into a secluded paradise far from the hustle and bustle. We have carefully crafted 6 types of distinctive rooms, ranging from simple Mulan Premium King/Twin Rooms and cozy Plain Comfort Rooms, to "Flowing Sand Scenic View Rooms" (with wide-open vistas of the surrounding landscape), family-friendly Premium Family Rooms, and stylish Premium Suites. Each room is fully equipped with amenities, ensuring you find the perfect fit whether you're traveling alone, on a couple's getaway, or with family.
Beyond accommodation, the joys of Mulan Tea Lodge lie in "tea" and "leisure". The public tea-tasting area is filled with the fragrance of tea, ideal for sitting quietly and savoring the afternoon. In the comfortable lounge area, you can gather with relatives and friends to chat, their laughter drifting through the windows. The rooftop viewing terrace is the lodge's "hidden gem"—here, you can host a casual party with a few friends, or stand alone in the breeze, sipping tea and admiring flowers, letting the mountain wind carry away all your worries.
The handmade tea experience is one of the lodge's unique features. The immersive one-stop experience takes you through every step: first, picking fresh and tender tea leaves in the on-site tea garden; then, learning to stir-fry the leaves over low heat to lock in their aroma; next, rolling the fried leaves by hand to shape them into classic tea forms; and finally, brewing and tasting the tea you made yourself. Every step lets you feel the dedication and craftsmanship behind Pu'er tea. The transformation of each tea leaf and the rising aroma of every cup vividly interpret Menghai's tea culture. What's more, we have established in-depth cooperation with the "Laotongzhi" Direct Store of Haiwan Tea Industry Co., Ltd. Here, you can taste authentic high-quality Pu'er tea and feel the profound cultural heritage accumulated along the ancient Tea Horse Road.
At Mulan Tea Lodge, there's no need to rush—just slow down. Neighboring orchids and accompanied by tea, you'll encounter a beautiful time of tranquility and craftsmanship amid the green mountains and clear waters of Menghai.
"The B&B is located at the Xingguang Night Market by the Liusha River. The design style of the room and all the items and furniture in the room show the owner's care. There are two other suggestions. Suggestion 1: Install a TV in the room, because the guests staying here are not necessarily young guests who play with mobile phones, but may be elderly people who are used to watching TV. 2. It will be very hot in the summer, so it is recommended to equip it with a small refrigerator. Everything else is great~ The front desk guy and the sanitation waiter are very warm and polite, and will greet politely. There are no watermarks on the hardware in the bathroom, and the hygiene is very good. If I have the opportunity to come to Menghai again, I will give priority to staying here."
