"We had a wonderful experience at the Hilton Garden Inn Bordeaux. The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout — from the rooms to the common areas, everything felt fresh and well maintained. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional, always ready to help with a smile and going out of their way to make my stay comfortable.
The breakfast was a real highlight — a fantastic selection of fresh, high-quality options with something to suit every taste. It was clear that a lot of care goes into both the service and the food. Though foods could be replenished a bit faster during peak breakfast hours when popular items run out quickly.

"The hotel is modern and overall comfortable, and the rooms are decent for a short stay. The bed was comfortable enough and the general atmosphere of the hotel is pleasant.
However, I think some aspects could be improved to better match the expectations of a four-star hotel. The main point is the breakfast. The selection was quite limited and did not feel like a four-star hotel breakfast, closer to what you would expect from a three-star hotel at most.
I would recommend that the management look at the breakfast offered in other four-star hotels for comparison. In many hotels in Portugal, Spain, or Madeira Island (where I am from), the breakfast selection is usually much more varied and of higher quality. Improving this would make the overall stay much better and more in line with the hotel’s category."

"Positive: fantastic location just off the main shopping street. Near shops, restaurants, pubs etc And less than 50m from a branch of Bordeaux’s famous caneles shop La Toque Cuivree. (Don’t leave with trying a few!)
Slight negative: it’s in a pedestrian only street.
We weren’t affected but if you need to handle bulky luggage, the taxis can’t drive up to the hotel’s doorstep and you have to walk 100m or so.
Negative: the bathroom shower area was on a raised platform and wasn’t fully enclosed. The shower tile flooring became slippery once wet, and this made stepping up and down an exercise in caution."

"Very nice hotel, the twin room is spacious, although the facilities are relatively simple, it is still quite comfortable to live in, in line with the style of Mercure hotels abroad, the toiletries used are from the French brand Nuxe, the breakfast is also OK, with everything you need, the hotel is just across the Bordeaux Saint-Jean train station, only a one-minute walk away, and a 30-minute walk to the Place de la Change in the city center, or you can take a tram at the Saint-Jean train station, which costs 1.9 euros one way, and you can transfer to any transportation route within an hour."

"The location is a 10-15 min walk away from the train station due to the layout of the train tracks, however it is also served frequently by tram C. Upside is its in a good, quiet and clean neighbourhood away from the hustle and bustle.
Very modern, clean and chic hotel. Comfortable sized rooms and toilet. Reception served by delightful and polite ladies."

"The hotel is right next to the Wine Museum, a 2-minute walk. It's not far from the city center either; it's about a 15-20 minute ride by light rail, but walking takes about an hour. Check-in service was good, and the room was clean. However, one thing was very disappointing: for those driving, parking is available in the parking lot next to the hotel. The hotel staff clearly stated they could provide a parking discount code. When we went to pay, no one was working at the payment counter, and the machine couldn't process the payment. After explaining this to the front desk, they called the parking lot manager, saying someone would be there later, and then told us to go talk to the manager about getting a partial refund. At this point, the front desk staff seemed indifferent and offered no assistance, which was quite disappointing. The attitude of the staff at check-out was vastly different from that at check-in."

GGuest UserThe bunks offer a lot of privacy. There's a 16 Euro deposit that *must* be paid by credit card. It's an 8-minute walk from the train station. The platform number isn't displayed until 20 minutes before departure. The bathrooms and showers are quite spacious, but there's no shower gel provided. There are lockers with combination locks. To turn on the lights, you first need to press a master switch with a blue light. The window faces the train tracks, so there's some noise from the road. The window curtains are very good at blocking out light. There's a small shelf with a light and charging port above the bed. You don't need to make your own bed. There's a bar on the top floor, and directly opposite downstairs, you can find places to eat with areas for kids to play. The nearby apartments and a small church have a really local, authentic vibe. It was more interesting to watch people walking their dogs, kids playing, and rolling metal balls than visiting tourist spots. I even saw an Indian little girl celebrating her birthday near the church!

JJordanxo3Modern and well maintained hostel. Every member of staff I spoke with were always very helpful and friendly. No communal kitchen unfortunately but there is a microwave which was very useful. Laundry room, small gym always a positive!
Location is bit far of a walk from the center, but trams are located no more than 5 minutes away. Also a short walk away from Les Halles de Bacalan and plenty of bars and clubs if that's your sort of thing.

EEffyOhh🟢 The location was very convenient and easy to travel around. We parked there and then used the tramway to get around. Convenient and easy. The inside of the building looks fresh and good. The rooms were quite big so we could spread everywhere. Surprised to see the toilets and showers separated, but enjoyable. Large choice for the breakfast for 18€ but had to wait sometimes for refill.
🔴 the staff wasn't really friendly except if you were the one to do your approach and talk to them. There was an alarm early morning during our stay and no-one was at the reception to greet us and tell us if we had to evacuate or anything. When we (other clients and us) told the réceptionnist it wasn't normal she got upset and replied back instead of apologising or anything. The staff didn't know what they were supposed to do in this case. Not reassuring if there's an actual fire someday.
🟡 cleaning wasn't amazing but could have been worse so no comment on that.

杭杭The location is acceptable, in the central area of Bordeaux, 500 meters walk after getting off the airport bus, the gate entrance is on the side of the street, easy to find, arrive at more than 10 o'clock in the evening, there are many people at the entrance of the bar, and feel safe. The rooms are small, with good hygiene, comfortable bedding and average breakfast. The front desk was good, and the taxi was booked, a better experience.

YYewpohThe rooms are nice. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. My wife found a small bug on the bed. It wasn’t a bed bug but the staff was nice enough to change our rooms. The rooms are not the same even though they’re the same rate. One has a dressing table while the other doesn’t have one. So make sure to ask if you check in early enough. It is walkable to the city centre but not that close. Service staff was helpful and cheerful. Overall, it is good.

GGuest UserThe hotel is newly renovated. The reception lobby is designed as muti propose use: playing table tennis, book reading, food enjoying. The sound proof in the room is good. Many choose is for the breakfast. The tram stop is just at the front of the hotel. You may take a tram ride to the hotel from airport with 1.7Euro. There is less than 10 minutes walk to the railway station or take a tram ride for a stop only. The staff is quite helpful.
The disadvantage is the room is relatively small.

A revoir la propreté des chambres malheureu*****t,nous y avons séjourné 2 nuits mais la chambre n a pas été nettoyé les draps tout juste tirés avec le lit plus ou moins fait,les toilettes pas nettoyé,la moquette de la chambre pas aspiré et il manquait également une serviette que nous avons dû aller récupérer a l accueil donc a revoir quand même pour un 4 etoiles
