"When arriving, our room had holes in the carpet, ripped bedding, the toilet didn’t work, and it smelled like ****. We made the front desk aware and they were very nice and accommodating. They moved us to a new room and it was great! Walking to the French quarter wasn’t too bad but a little further than I would have liked. Overall it was pretty good hotel. Not sure I would stay here again though."

"The location of this hotel was lovely right next to RiverWalk mall. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Didn’t like that carpet in the room and hallways kinda of gave those areas a smell (more so the hallways) Also, wasn’t a fan of the shower/tub combo wish all hotels would update to showers only. But our overall stay was good."

"To check into the room was a breeze. The customer service rep was excellent at his job and even helped me get information about a tour I had booked. The room itself was shabby or well worn looking and smelled. Maid service was good in that the bed was made everyday, but the bed itself was lumpy. There were rust stains in the bathtub. To step outside to smoke a cigarette, one is bombarded with homeless people asking for money or cigarettes. Seems more could have been done to safeguard guests standing in front of the hotel waiting for something or just getting a breath of fresh air from such harassment. I then found out there was a balcony on the 2nd floor where guests could go to smoke their cigarette. The view from the balcony is excellent as it looks right down on Burbon Street, what a treat. Spending days exploring the city and later going to the balcony in the evenings became a routine for me. That is until one night leaving the balcony heading toward the elevator I ran up upon a woman who was stooped down peeing on the floor by the wall that has a picture of a lady with a piece of paper over her eyes. There were bathrooms on the second floor, so I couldn't understand why she would do that. I guess that speaks to the type of person she is. I was appalled. If that is a representation of the type of people who book rooms at the Astor, then that hotel is not the hotel for me! No, I will never stay there again"

"Inviting entrance area with places to sit or lounge with friends and a couple board games. Valet parking, not free but a reasonable price. Helpful staff and comfortable rooms. Also nice and quiet in the rooms."

"I would stay at the Drury Plaza again. They had a full hot breakfast, and free drinks with more than just appetizers every evening. The location was close to many great tourist locations. (I recommend walking to Daisy Mae’s restaurant right up the street for a delicious lunch.) Shout out to Jamie, the manager at the front desk, who helped me with my reservation in a courteous and friendly way. It also made us feel secure knowing only guest with a key card could get in the hotel and access all the amenities. The only thing I would change would be getting a room not facing the main street, as sometimes the loudness of the busy outside could be heard in our room, but other than that everything was great!"

"It was Mardi Gras week and the hotel was super busy. Pool was great though it’s a little small. Location was fantastic, right smack on bourbon street. They do lack basic amenities like in-room complimentary bottled water for a four star hotel. Desire restaurant has got great food and especially the oysters. They are also a dog friendly hotel, but pet toilet was artificial grass / green carpet located at the basement carpark, which wasn’t very convenient and it smells bad."

"The room is large, the bathroom area is also large, it feels suitable for friends to go out together, there are two sinks, girls can make up at the same time~ There is no view from the window of the hotel, but the location is very good. You can go to Canal Street in a few minutes and buy a public transport ticket to go to all the attractions. Although there is no driving, the hotel has a parking lot with valet parking and car service. The highlight is the excellent service attitude. There is a travel consultation downstairs. You can make reservations for various special tours and restaurant reservations. There are many companies and lines that can pick up and drop off at the hotel entrance. The price is almost the same as that of the travel agency. The staff also Would recommend, for example, a few points to swamp crocodiles and more, in short, satisfied!"

"There was a used soap bar in the shower when we arrived. The bed was extremely hard and the pillows were very soft, it was not comfortable. When we arrived the room was warm and the water was hot. Part of the way through our first shower the water got cold and the heater quit working. The next day it got COLD outside and there was absolutely no hot water, got out of a cold shower and the air was blowing very cold. They did send someone up to fix the issues and we had hot water that evening. When we woke up in the morning the room was 79 degrees though the heater was set at 70. It was very hot. The shower was cold again and there was brown water leaking through the ceiling tiles above the shower. The location was convenient and the view of the river was really nice."
