This was a wonderful experience for us! We booked a wine tasting and light lunch for 9 of us on our way to our villa in San Gimignano. It is a beautiful spot high on top of the Tuscan hills and did not disappoint. Our host and his sister were warm, knowledgeable and the wine and lunch were delicious. Everything is freshly made and the tiramisu was spectacular. Please go!

Wow! What a day! Lu was absolutely outstanding with her care. She ran a perfect experience for us. We feel so honoured to receive her knowledge and the love that goes into the cooking. The wines we great too. We especially loved the whites. The food was in abundance

Sant’ Appiano was the 2nd of 4 wineries we visit the same day. It was our 3rd favorite, even though is was very good. Our tasting was led by the very engaging and enjoyable Alex, son of Francesco, the winemaker. We also met Francesco’s 80-ish YO mother, who came to meet all the guests. Lovely folks, gorgeous views, and delicious wines with an amazing 1,000 YO cellar that was built out of an Etruscan tomb. The experience was not 5 star because Alex got called away from our group when we still had 2 wines to taste, and we only got served one of them by Francesco before we had to pay full price and leave for our 3rd winery of the day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and wine tasting. The lovely lady that was our host was extremely nice and informative. Our lunch was very good and the tiramisu was the best we had while we were in Italy. We ordered wine to be shipped. I have since seen some of the negative reviews about that. I guess we’ll hope for the best, but it was a great time there.

Do not buy wine here. We are still waiting since July for our order. We were served a light lunch of pasta and truffles with the wine. Pushed to buy the expensive wines, not allowed to try the wine we wanted. Got charged 70 euro each. We made the mistake of not asking price ahead. Our error. No doubt our driver got a cut of our purchases for taking us there which is expected. Overall very pushy, overpriced and now no wine. Our emails are not returned. Beware. Beautiful place to taste wine and have light bites. Prices no different than Napa, but do not order wine for the States. Takes months. We did not appreciate the older woman coming to our table, interrupting our time together and pushing expensive wines on us. This is a family run business. If none of this bothers you then go. It’s beautiful and good was good. Know before you go what you are paying for and you won’t see your wine for months and months.

Owner failed to deliver on welcome food shop forcing us to buy at the pricy and very limited farm shop. She did shop for us the next day but never provided a receipt, nor the change from the night before. She also slipped in her own very overpriced wine and not the varieties stipulated in my list. Food delivery is non existent as are taxis. They just don't want to be bothered with the little jobs. When they agree to take you, the price for the same ten minute trip varied between 20 to 30 Euros!. Overall, we felt the lack of our own transport left us ripe for ripping off. The apartment was basic, reasonably clean but the tv was tiny and we never did get it to work. However, it was cheap and the pool was nice.

Ich war zwei Tage dort und es war einfach wunderschön. Alles war super organisiert. Mein Apartment war sauber, gemütlich und das Bett richtig bequem, das fand ich besonders wichtig. Ich konnte dort total abschalten und die Ruhe genießen. Das Beste war aber der private Kochkurs. Wir haben zusammen Bruschetta, frische Tagliatelle, Gnocchi und zum Schluss Tiramisu zubereitet. Es hat richtig Spaß gemacht, wir haben viel gelacht und beim Kochen geplaudert 🤗 Die Besitzerin war sehr freundlich, wir haben uns nett unterhalten und dabei guten Wein probiert. Der Weinkeller war für mich ein echtes Highlight. Der Sangiovese war fantastisch, in französischen Barriques gereift. Ich komme bestimmt wieder, vielleicht in zwei Jahren, wenn Francescos Shiraz fertig ist 😜am liebsten zur Weinlese im September. Ein toller Ort mit Herz, gutem Wein und echtem toskanischem Gefühl. 🍷
