I always stay at The Mate Pau in Barcelona because it is clean and the people are very friendly. It is almost at the airport bus stop so it’s also very convenient.
The inside courtyard rooms are quieter than the rooms facing the road but after a day in Barcelona you might be too tired to notice.
Breakfast is amazing and the staff are fantastic.

Checking in was quick and easy
Originally we got a room without a bath, but wanted a bath so went to reception and paid for upgrade.
Room came with tea/coffee making facilities and complimentary chocolates.
Shower and was great
Bed and pillows were comfortable
Fantastic location !
Can't comment on the breakfast as didn't order any.
Reception staff were very friendly and helpful,

The location is very good, just a one-minute walk from the bus stop to the airport. Although it is in the center of the city, the noise in my room was not an issue at all.
However, the view was behind the department store next door, so I would have preferred not to have a view.
The room was a little small, and the chairs had no cushions, so it was hard to use.
I guess it is classified as a designer hotel, but for this price I think it would be more relaxing if it had a more mature atmosphere (personal opinion).
The breakfast was very delicious.

The room is clean and the service is good. The hotel is in a busy area, but it is very quiet in the room. The hotel has a good location and convenient transportation. It is close to most attractions, especially to and from the airport. The airport bus terminal is near the hotel.

However, there is a supermarket and subway station downstairs, which is very convenient.

I stayed for 3 nights in total and it cost more than RMB5K. I felt that the price/performance ratio was not very high. In the single room, the window is close to the patio, and there is almost no window feeling. The only advantage of staying here is that the location is great. The hotel is very close to Plaza Catalunya, only a 2-minute walk away. You can also walk to La Pedrera. I walked there, which took about 20 minutes. Along the way, you can pass many luxury stores, such as LV and Dior. You can go shopping in the LV store, which is much cheaper than in China, but you need to queue.
