The jury is out! Maybe overpriced for the unit we had. Open bathroom with little personal privacy was a little unsettling. Pool and spa were uninviting and were grubby. Underground secure parking and easy access to the lift was a positive. Proximity close to weekend highlight - whale watching!

It's a very long time since this was ever a 5 Star as per the brochure in the room. The Televisions or flat screens we fine they did their job the one in the bedroom sometimes had difficulty with local television, the one in the main room used a Foxtel box so no rear problems. Looked clean and tidy but on closer inspection there were some concerns. The managers really probably need to re-think why they are there, clearly they have not been into this room. When challenged they accused my partner who works in health as being a very rude person. I personally have never heard him be rude only have a sensible respectable conversation.

For the price a few things missing. Very uncomfortable beds. Spa Pool Cold. 1 Ply toilet paper same as the public toilets on the beach. Bathmat was the size of a postage stamp.1 face cloth small things I know if you want tourists step up these little things. Great spot and location locals very friendly.

We loved our brief stay at this location. We are already planning ways we can return. Clean resort, obviously run with care by the management. Rooms are very comfortable and well presented. My only complaint - why do people build hotel rooms with no bathroom doors? I do not understand why anyone would want the toilet and shower not separate to the bedroom? But that's my only complaint - other than that the room is fantastic and perfect for our family. Location was great - ocean view and easy walk to a great cafe.

Stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting the region for our wedding anniversary. Whilst I read mixed reviews on TripAdvisor, decided to book anyway as it appeared to be the nicest hotel in the region, and when it's also the most expensive, it has to be the best, right? How wrong we were.... Firstly, the room was not clean at all..... in a world that is just recovering from a pandemic, you would think every measure was taken to reassure guests. Most places I have stayed at recently have a little card saying something along the lines of "sanitized for your protection" and have covid safe measures in place....but not here....not even a bottle of sanitizer at reception. The room itself was filthy - the windows looked like they had not been cleaned in at least 6 months, and had a layer of dirt all over them making it difficult to enjoy the ocean view. All the surfaces had barely been wiped, and had grease streaks all over the benchtops, then all the walls had marks and handprints on them. The floor was filthy and our shoe stuck to the floor as you walked on the tiles. The room had a musty smell, and doors were left open by housekeeping to let the seabreeze in. Next, the layout - very akward! Every room is a triangle, and with every piece of furniture being a square of rectangle like bed, bedside, coffee table, couch, tv unit etc....it makes for very strange placement in the room.....just did not feel right at all. Also, the beds are only double - whilst I am sure this is in the fineprint, most 4-5 star places that I have stayed at have at least a queen if not king bed. Probably all that can fit in the akward size rooms. The fittings and furnishings also were also in poor repair.....for example there was a coverplate on the entry door that fell off every time it was open or closed. The striker was loose, and the door was akward to open. The tiles had dirty grout, and the mirrors were worse for wear with some of the reflective backing coming off near the edges. The drains were filthy and the shower head was barely a trickle. Overall, the rooms need tome TLC. The place has the makings of a nice place in a good location, walking distance to the foreshore and restaurants, but definitely let down by the way the rooms are kept and setup. At $240 a night, definitely overpriced for what your getting, and have stayed at mush nicer for much cheaper. Would definitely NOT stay again and would NOT recommend.

We are coffee and bed snobs. Manta Bargara ticked all boxes. Best ever luxury beds. Coffee machines in every apartment. Our 3 night stay extended to 8 nights due to emergent family events. Our hosts, Chris & Warner were extremely helpful and accommodating despite peak holiday season bookings. A definite return for us. Thank you.
