Reynolds House Inn

Quaint B&B filled to the brim with antique furniture, gorgeous pianos/organs & Lego’s. A quick stop over in Barre, Vermont was made extra special staying for the night at this unique place. Home was comfortable ( twin antique bed) & a basic bathroom. Breakfast was served between 8-8:30am & was homemade.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our leaf-peeping tour of New England. We had a large room with a bay window overlooking the main road. The bathroom was small but adequate. It’s a lovely house and Eric and Jeffrey have taken great pride in furnishing it appropriately with some eccentric twists. We didn’t meet Eric but we did meet the mistachioed Jeffrey and their excited boxer. Breakfast was what was being cooked that morning and I loved that; fresh and plentiful. After we had all eaten breakfast at a communal table - lovely idea - Jeffrey came and joined us and had some good stories to tell. We were perfectly happy there but some people might take exception to the house rules! We had to remove our outdoor shoes immediately upon entering the house. Apparently we had been informed of this by e-mail but we had left England a week or so before so didn’t have prior knowledge of the ‘bring slippers’ rule. Neither are you allowed to eat or drink anything other than water in the bedrooms. We usually have a G&T before dinner so knowing the rules went down to ‘the bar’ but there was no one around and the doorway was blocked. I haven’t had to live by someone else’s rules since boarding school so I was grateful not to be told not to run in the corridor! Overall, a lovely stay.

This was my first experience staying at a B&B and it was simply wonderful all around! I was met by Jeffrey upon arrival and check in was a breeze. The room I stayed in was immaculate and SO cozy! I’m not from the area and the recommendation on a great place for dinner was very much appreciated, thank you Jeffrey! I was lucky enough to be there on a weekend where they were hosting a Sunday brunch and it was delicious. Everyone on staff during brunch was amazingly sweet and attentive! Highly recommend staying if you are looking for a comfortable, clean and cozy space. Can’t wait to make plans to return!

My husband and I ate at the Reynolds Inn Sunday brunch. The hospitality was elegant. The ambiance was exquisite and food was five star AMAZING!! We highly recommend the Reynolds House Inn Sunday Brunch experience.

Absolutely beautiful! Checks all the boxes you expect of a NE bed & breakfast. The house is restored to perfection. It has charm and character with a fantastic host. Geoffrey was available for our every need. He provided a great dinner recommendation which helped us appreciate Barre even more. Breakfast was hot and delicious. It was a wonderful stop on our tour of Autumn leaves.

We were very satisfied with our stay at Reynold’s House Inn. The room was beautiful and plenty of room for 2 people. The homemade breakfast was delicious and we got to meet some other guests during our meal. The host showed us around the house at all of the lego sets he’s built which was so fun. There’s a parking lot right beside the house which makes unloading your car very easy. Overall a great experience!!
