Casa Cayuco Eco-Adventure Lodge

Incredibly nice and excellent - the team foremost, and everything else! A very warm welcome, highly attentive service, superb location, excellent lodge and accommodation, great excursions (Casa Cayuco Trail, Mangrove snorkelling, Salt Creek village). Fantastic guide. Great captains. Yummy homemade food and superb cocktails. The right balance between comfort and environmentally responsible. Gotta go soon again!

I cannot rave enough about how amazing our stay was at Casa Cayuco! It was recommended by another traveler we met in Costa Rica and the reviews don’t lie! Meals were amazing we all sat at one table which was awesome because we were able to meet the other travelers as well and shared many stories! The staff- Alondra, Lady, Jose and all the others were attentive, kept us well informed, guided us on activities and were just fun to be around! The water was beautiful, the dock was an evening and morning spot to hang out, swim, fish or my favorite- read in the over the water nets in the afternoon. We kayaked, paddle boarded, snorkeled and swam every day. We did not want to leave and almost came very close to extending- now being home I wish we had!!! Truly a Caribbean paradise!!!

We had the most wonderful stay at Casa Cayuco. My wife and I travelled with our two children and it was the best vacation we could have asked for. The beach was just steps away from the house and the sand is nice with calm, shallow water perfect for the kids to swim in. We stayed in the Estrella del Mar house that was very spacious and comfortable with 3 large bedrooms with AC in the rooms. The food was all freshly prepared and the staff took great care to make our stay magical for our family - can't recommend this place enough. Worth every penny!

I can't say enough good things about Casa Cayuco. I haven't felt so relaxed in years. My kids were in heaven. It is very small and private so it does not feel like any resort I've ever been to. We stayed in the "Mono" cabin which was amazing; so private and each morning we could see a family of monkeys swing by outside. The oceanfront is perfect for relaxing as the water is comfortably warm and it's so shallow near the shore you can just sort of lay in the ocean and hang out. We also enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards and it was a very safe environment for our kids to try them out. Each morning the manager would come by to discuss what "adventures" we wanted to try that day and then everything was immediately and smoothly taken care of. They were very attentive to detail and even noticed that we had become friendly with another family and made sure to accommodate us together for the excursions, all of which we enjoyed immensely. The one thing I would say is that the accommodations are rustic (almost like glamping) and the vibe laid back. If you are looking to swan about a fancy resort to see and be seen in designer gear, look elsewhere. If you want to make fantastic family memories and truly be immersed in nature, this is your place.

Wow, just wow. This place is so amazing. The food, the scenery, the peaceful, laid back vibe, the incredibly kind and friendly staff… all of it was just perfect. If you are looking for an off the beaten path, sustainable adventure in nature, this is your place! We loved our gorgeous food, the delicious, mostly vegetarian food, the relaxing space and plenty of adventures to choose from if you want to snorkel, explore monkey island, bat caves and more! You can also just put your feet up and chill. This is a really special place. Thank you Alondra, Paola, Jose and all the team!

Everything was amazing from start to finish. The local community were so kind and super gracious. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The food was excellent! The drinks were fun and refreshing. The day trips were prefect they showed us what life can be like without all the extras. The trip was exactly what we needed. High recommend!!!
