Die Lage war für uns Top! Nicht direkt im Zentrum, dadurch etwas ruhiger. Das einzige Manko war die Straßen vor dem Haus, die uns aber nicht gestört hat. Den Balkon zur Seeseite haben wir ausgiebig genutzt.
Zum Strand kommt man durch einen kleinen Park, de auf der anderen Straßenseite liegt.
Das Frühstück war etwas spartanisch, aber trotzdem alles da.

This might be the best kept hidden gem at Lago Maggiore. We booked and looking at the available prices we were anticipating a "not so exciting place to stay" (you know the feeling). When we got there we were greeted and were helped to find a parking spot. The person helped us with some toll issues we had because of our inexperiance with driving in Italy and the fun that is the toll road network. Breafast was great and the location was fantastic! We were a bit surprised that this place is not better rated or more expensive. Definitely recommend!

Very friendly hotel with a personal touch - ideal for couples as well as solo woman traveller like myself. Great base for visiting and easy quick walk to the square and water taxis to other places along the lake. Good continental breakfast and opportunity for a choice of two 4-course evening meals that change every day. Good homemade food. Staff very helpful - highly recommend

The first thing we noticed on entering our 3rd floor room, was the stunning view and balcony. However, this was dampened on opening the balcony doors due to the noise from the road in front of us. Clearly the main road in the area. This will not suit people looking for a lake view + serenity. Having said this, the hotel is good value and barely 10 minutes walk to the lakeside via some lovely public gardens. A supermarket is also 5 minutes walk for those wanting to stock up for picnic lunches. It was a short, flat walk from the train station and similar into the main Bavano town. The room did not have a mini fridge. The other downside was that they switched off air-conditioning in September and switched on heating. The temperature during our stay was still high (from a Britsh perspective) and we would have enjoyed the option of aircon. Especially at night where the desire was to keep the window closed to reduce noise. We asked for, and were speedily given, a fan - which helped. Breakfast was ample and the staff were friendly. The rooms were kept clean and you could see a pride in the hotel. No tea/coffee maling facilities in the room, but this seems common in Italy from our small experience. Overall we found the hotel to be be very good value for money and enjoyed our 3 night stay.

Hotel Alpi was one of the highlights of our trip!! The hosts Paola and her brother were incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. Highly recommend eating at their local and authentic restaurant which is on site (delicious home-made food and Paola’s cakes were the best!). They were so genuine and helped us with all of our travel plans. The place was super clean and the location and views were impeccable!! If you are in or near Baveno, you must stay here!! We can’t wait to return!!

Beautifully run, cozy hotel Wonderful food, served by kind and helpful staff, and family of hotel. Everything fresh and tasty. The lovely woman at the reception is very kind and helpful. The rooms are clean, and spacious, and have great beds. The vue is gorgeous. There is a nice room to sit and have drinks, chat,or play board games. The owner very kindly drove me to the station. A very warm, gracious hospitality is apparent in this hotel run with love and attention to detail.

Belle vue mais rue bruyante quand on laisse la porte de la terrasse ouverte. Repas servis à la grande louche dans l’assiette. Aucune présentation et Qualité moyenne. Salle de bain vieillotte à rénover. Pas de frigo dans la chambre. Pourtant pratique quand on reste plusieurs jours. Bilan : juste bien, sans plus.

Siamo venuti a Baveno per incontrare nostri amici e abbiamo scelto di passare una notte all'hotel Alpi. Ottima scelta: camera spaziosa con tutto quello che serve, comodo terrazzino vista lago al terzo piano, ambienti curati, molto puliti, confortevoli. Ottima colazione a buffet con cibi dolci e salati. Vista lago notevole, terrazza nel giardino con tavolini e ombrelloni. Buona accoglienza, personale gentilissimo. Parcheggio incluso. Davanti all'hotel il Giardino Fedora fronte lago, centro di Baveno a pochi passi, senza passare sulla Statale 33. Non abbiamo trovato nessun punto negativo da segnalare, solo un eventuale fastidio provocato dal traffico nelle ore di molta affluenza sulla Statale 33 che passa davanti all'hotel, ma che non crea alcun problema al riposo notturno.
