Best Bay of Many Coves Hotels

"Invincible sea view. No boats and houses are in front of you, with mountains, trees, blue sky and bays. The service is very intimate. You can go boating at any time. The breakfast buffet and order breakfast are very good. Dinner is also very good, especially the burdock, high standard. Use good beef meat."

"We took this as a 2 day getaway, expecting it to be top notch... especially given the price of $480/night PLUS $120 each to get there by water taxi. We stayed in Endeavour unit 18. Unfortunately, for the price, it fell well below expectations. No kitchenette as advertised, no TV, the 'King size bed' turns out to be 2 single beds of different elevations pushed together, with a 'step' between them. There IS a spa pool, but contains more filth than water - it was truly disgusting. In The restaurant we ordered an expensive meal but quickly found the Cray fish was far from fresh and the lamb rack was more sheep ribs than Lamb(!) We ate it, just because of where we are and it wasn't inedible, but for a meal that cost over $300 with wine it was a long way from what we would expect elsewhere at even close to the same price point.... and before we had even finished our meal, at just 8pm having sat down at 7pm, we were told the place was closing and could we please finish in our room. Although we had already paid for the 2 nights, we left after just 1, with no refund for the unused night - truthfully I didn't push the issue, I just wanted to get home. Will never return."

"Beautiful location overlooking the Marlborough Sounds, grassed area in front down to the sea. Short walk to beach and 10 minutes walk to marina where there is a very good pub with great food. Very peaceful and lovely outside space to enjoy view and peace - very relaxing. Lovely apartment, very modern and clean and well equipped. Quality towels and linen. Too far from Picton Town to walk but only 10 minutes drive to the ferry."

"Great location near picton port . We Book a standard cabin . No kitchen or bathroom . Just a cabin with a bed . Just check twice before booking cause its not clear in description and pictures of the room are not good one. By the way common kitchen and shared bathroom was very clean. Staff nice also."

"The location is excellent. Easy parking. The kitchen is upscale. Clean and comfortable. Easy to eat downstairs. Facing the sea view, comfortable. The house is not very soundproof, and someone snoring next door makes me noisy until late at night to fall asleep. The instructions said there was a shower cap, but I couldn't find it after looking for it for a long time. Maybe you forgot to put it?"

"Two days in Sokcho, living in Ramada feels very convenient. There is a sashimi street at the door. The fish in the market is eaten immediately. It is very enjoyable to eat sashimi. The hotel is by the sea and the scenery is very good. You can walk to the lighthouse when you come out downstairs. It is very close to the filming location of ”Boyfriend”, where the male protagonist sits and reads under the lighthouse. Shocho is a good place. Seafood is much cheaper in Seoul. The scenery is also very good. Next time you come to Sokcho, you will choose Ramada."

"The location of the motel is terrific. It’s on a tiny hill overlooking the harbour. If you are lucky and get the rooms upstairs, you really have a fantastic view day and night. The room itself is rather simple, but it does have a balcony with chairs and a table. Great for enjoying the view. But be prepared if you are driving there. The slope to the reception is steep and parking is very squeezy. Smaller cars would see an obvious advantage there."

"The hotel itself is a bit dated but well maintained and clean. The service was good and breakfast was substantial. Pool seemed unused for years with black spots of algae but we were not really into swimming so its ok. The room size were nice and big but sound proof is not too good. We can hear the kids playing from the other room. Beds were good and comfy. Smells clean and soft. Location is good. Walking distance to everything you need."
