La Réserve de Beaulieu

Ignore the last review giving two stars. We have stayed at the Reserve numerous times and it is completely excellent in every respect I cannot think of anything that I can mark it down on whatsoever. The table restaurant referred to by the two star reviewer is very good, the staff are excellent as is the food. They do brasserie style food there, if you want really fine food then go to the main hotel restaurant where there is michelin level food, I think it is two stars. The food is as one would expect at such a restaurant. At la table the level is lower and they even do a £26 for 3 course menu which is excellent, and changes regularly with a chef's special every day. The hotel has a Maybach car available to guests for local transfers to local restaurants. The Maybach for those who are unaware is the Mercedes answer to Rolls Royce and is a joy to travel in the rear of, much more comfortable than the long base S class. The gardens are very well designed and kept immaculate by the friendly gardeners. All the staff are friendly, and I would single out Michael at the pool and Youseff as especially good. I cannot think of anything to complain about at this hotel, all the staff speak English but put up with my pigeon French out courtesy. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

The hotel and its heritage is impressive, it's beautiful, elegant and the staff are very pleasant. The only reason for my 'Average' rating is due to my nightdress going missing from our room, I am sure it was (potentially) accidentally taken away with the change of sheets (it is a white cotton nightie therefore it could have blended in) When I informed the staff that my nightdress was missing I felt that it was received in a nonchalant way, I am sure there was even a giggle, perhaps if it was an item of much higher value there may have been more of a serious reaction. I had to ask the FOH several times and email them before I was informed that it couldn't be found in their laundry room. Despite a nice stay I am one nightdress missing with no explanation, not great for a hotel of this stature.

Hotel is beautiful and well maintained but service ruins overall experience. For $16k for three nights and two rooms, expect to not be accosted by manager for brining some outside food in (to go pizzas for my 2 and 4 year old who were in room sick - but shouldn’t need to explain). There is no communicated policy of no outside food. But manager chose to interrogate me and tell me I should not bring in outside food, they can make pizza and then tell me he needs to know what room I am in. I have never had such an experience at a lower star hotel but to be treated like that is not acceptable and makes one really wish had saved money and stayed somewhere else.

Amazing hotel and service. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are spacious, staff was wonderful, friendly and attentive. The hotel is spotless. Fantastic location. We went to the F1 race in Monaco and it was nice staying outside of the city and all the craziness that comes with the race. We will be back!!

Best beach day experience thanks to the best beach boy in the Côte d’Azur he did everything to make it a pleasure experience it was doing everything and helping everyone it was a one man but he was doing the job of 3 staff all at once was very nice we appreciate his service
