Three Coopers

Located in a central, charming area, the accommodation offers a warm welcome from its attentive staff. Guests appreciate the spotlessly clean rooms and highly commend the delicious, varied breakfast.

Stayed for one night. Arrived at 3pm and a lovely chap showed us to our room via the out of hours door and explained they lived in the premises. The room was clean and well maintained. Bedding white and two big lovely white towels, but no hand towel. Shower room was ok. Cistern moved every time you flushed the loo. No hot water to wash hands. Basic loo roll, soap dispenser, shower gel. Tea and coffee, bring your own biscuits. Breakfast is offered at £10 each at another close by pub. Plenty of lovely cafes on the high street. Parking is on the high street. You get 2 free hours and free on Sundays Would we stay again, probably not. Very impersonal. We expected a warmer Yorkshire welcome, especially in a pub 😁

First impression was good , the lady was welcoming. However different experience at breakfast. We had paid for 2 breakfasts but asked if we could buy an extra one for our son. The gentleman serving put his head in his hands and muttered something about no one tells him anything. We apologised and explained it was a last minute thing. Took him all of 30 seconds to add an extra table mat and cutlery. Took away from the warm welcome we got when arriving. He seemed disinterested and everything was an issue. Hey this is the hospitality industry and people won't put up with poor service. Stark contrast to the Green Dragon where the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us with the meal that evening. Chalk and cheese. Victor Meldrew is alive and kicking at the Three Cooper's but the rest of Bedale was great.
