The room is generally clean and the equipment is relatively old. I personally prefer hotels with bathtubs and balconies, so I always book a room on the first floor. The room space is just right. The hotel has bicycles for rent and the outdoor environment is very good. Therefore, Apeldoorn is an alternative hotel when I come to Apeldoorn many times. .

Very rundown hotel, filthy and old fashioned. Photos are very misleading. The place on the hill is only the restaurant. No rooms there. In fact, it looks more like a run down bungalow park with fusty rooms. Also sharing the hallway with neighbors, our lock didn’t work soothe neighbours could just come into our room. Nope, never again.

Don’t get fouled by the nice photo of the hotel on top of the hill. Only accessible via steep steps and no lift available. The rooms are small very out dated with steep stairs again to the upstairs room. No airconditioning in the room. Price for the room is too high for the quality you get. This hotel is old and run down. There is a very nice place at a nearby camping/holiday park what has great drinks and good pizza’s for a better price. We’ll not recommend this hotel to other travellers.

DEATH TRAP do not stay here under any circumstances - if this is a 4 star, I am King Charles of England :( Dirty, dirty place, bugs including cockroaches, mice droppings, BED BUGS, dirty curtains, carpets - even blood stains on the wall. I couldn’t shower because the shower was full of daddy long legs and the towels they gave were yellowing. Was meant to stay 2 nights but had to escape after night 1, the staff were rude and unhelpful and I don’t believe the accommodation is safe at all, sharing a ‘house’ with a stranger below in the middle of a forest, no phone in the room. Just thinking about it is making me angry. We travelled in a band of 30 and everyone felt the same. Really disgusting place.

IWe never stayed at a Fletcher Hotel, and still haven't. We left, the condition of the rooms was just too shockingly bad. We checked in, looked around the room, asked for another room, same shabby room. The pictures tell it all. We left the hotel and decided to drive back home. Contacted Fletcher several times regarding a refund. Another great Fletcher experience....not. Non existing customer service. I wanted my money back. No chance, they refuse to pay me back and only offer another stay at one of their properties (excluding two) to be booked 28 days in advance. You have been warned...

Let me start off by saying: if you are looking for a nice area for walking and cycling, this hotel may be worth it. The surrounding woods are quite nice. Other than that, don't expect much. As others have already mentioned, it's not a typical hotel but more of an outdated holiday resort. It's not even close to being worth 4 stars. There are two rooms per building, using the same main entrance, and you have to pay extra if you want the ground level room - which is apparently also the only one with a kettle and coffee machine. The stairs to the first-floor hotel room are quite steep and not accessible to everyone. The vibe it gave was 'sleeping over in your 70-year-old uncle/grandpa's attic'. The rooms are very old-fashioned, with no clock, an old radio you can't plug in because of the lack of outlets, and a bit of a musty smell. The 'two-person bed' is just two single beds pushed together, so if you want to be intimate with your partner or just sleep close together you will most definitely end up in the gap in between. The beds don't sleep great, either. There is no airconditioning so it gets quite hot in the summer with no way of cooling down, and the wifi is not too stable. There is also some mould in the shower, as well as rust, and the window in the bathroom does not open. The toilet sometimes refused to flush properly. Breakfast was standard, don't expect any vegan options except for bread and peanut butter. You are allowed to take some stuff for lunch, though, which is nice. There is no fridge in your room however, so keeping things cool is not an option. Also bring your own cutlery, plate & cup if you plan on buying breakfast/lunch at a local supermarket, because the room only comes with two plastic-lined paper cups. There is only one vegetarian main course on the restaurant menu, but the chef was very kind and made the vegetarian lunch options dinner-sized for us. Vegan would definitely be impossible, though. The restaurant and pool are also not that easily accessible for people in a wheelchair or with a walking impairment. Definitely get some sort of voucher or discount deal, otherwise the prices are way too high for what you get. You're not allowed to order food from Thuisbezorgd etc. The pool is... well, it's not much. It's small but barely anyone goes for a swim there, so chances are you will have it all to yourself. Bring something like a diving game or a ball if you want to have anything fun to do. The showers don't really work and half of them only have cold water. There is a tennis court but it will cost about 12 euros per hour to use it, and the 'sports fields' that are on the map they give you have become overgrown and cannot be used. You're not allowed to park your bike next to/close to your building but there is an old shed-like building in which you can store your bike. There's also bikes for hire but we brought our own and so didn't look at the prices. The staff members were quite nice and patient, though there wa
