Just stayed here for the second time. Nette and Colin are brilliant hosts, warm and engaging and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are well equipped, clean, comfortable and the breakfast is wonderful. Would highly recommend and would definitely recommend A+++

Nette and Colin Were incredible hosts which made our visit a real pleasure. We had a lovely room thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable. The breakfast was superb and all the recommended restaurants in Beer were brilliant. Beer in Dorset great getaway place and we will certainly be returning and recommending to all our friends.

Great location and very friendly owners that made us feel so welcome. The bed and breakfast is in the heart of the village, only a few minutes walk to the beach. There is no parking on the street outside however as part if our stay we were given a permit for the village car park which was just a few minutes walk away, It was very close and we were able to unload and reload the car from the street so was not an issue. Breakfast is superb and there is a great choice of well cooked high quality food. We returned this year after staying a couple of years ago, still the same high standards and we’ll definitely be back here when we next visit this beautiful village.

This little gem is perfectly located to access the many towns along the East Devon coast as well as a 3 minute walk to the coast path. There is a bus stop literally across the road. The breakfasts are freshly cooked and the rooms comfortable. Colin and Nette are great hosts who will do everything possible to make your holiday enjoyable and memorable. Hightly recommended

A lovely little b n b . We had a room at the back so very quiet. Excellent shower. The hosts were amazing nothing too much trouble. Breakfast amazing. A short walk to restaurants and pubs. Recommend smugglers but need to book Would definitely return to Durham house.

Six of us booked 4 bedrooms and had a fabulous stay. Spotlessly clean, 1st class breakfast, every amenity we needed, and top notch hospitality from Nette and Colin. Plenty of car-parking no more than a couple of minutes walk away, and Nette gave us a a free Permit! B+B is perfectly situated for the younger kids to go to the shops on their own and the older ones to walk out for drinks, food and beach; also excellent location for accessing the rest of East Devon and beyond. Would re-book in a flash.

Stunning accommodation the location was perfect with a car park close by , Nette and Col are fabulous hosts and cannot do enough for you , their knowledge about the area is amazing and the breakfast was fantastic we both chose to have the BEER brekkie which is translated as the full English and it didn’t disappoint, we stayed in one of the attic rooms which was beautiful with a comfy bed , lovely fluffy towels , and the en-suite was great with wonderful toiletries provided, we felt we had great value for money and would not hesitate to stay here again. Choose this place you will not be disappointed!

We have a fab 2 night stay at Durham house, both hosts were very helpful and accommodating, the room we stayed in room 8 was well presented and great size Breakfast choice was brilliant and cook well our only negative is perhaps the breakfast room could have some background music to create a good ambiance and possibly offering a room parking permit would make the stay perfect Would recommend

We had the most wonderful 4 night stay at Durham House - Room 5 was charming, comfortable, very clean and with everything you could need from fluffy towels, milk and water in the fridge, WIFI, and a great bay window to watch the village street. The breakfast is outstanding - gorgeous room with fresh and local food - nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, Nette and Colin. It's a very short walk to the beach along the lovely high street, great shops and places to eat - we liked The Smugglers and Steamers for dinner - and The Anchor Inn overlooking the sea for lunch. Definitely will be coming back.
