Hanting Hotel (Beijing Qianmen Taoranting Branch)

We liked the hotel! Very helpful staff. Thanks to them for that! The location is good. There are several cafes around (within walking distance) (one cafe is right next to the hotel), 2 supermarkets, fruit shops, 7-Eleven, a park, hutongs. It's not far to the metro. The closest metro station to the hotel is Taoranting on line number 4. On the same line there is a zoo (Dongwuyuan metro station) and a large shopping center where there is even an IKEA, but no groceries (Xihongmen metro station, you can go straight from the metro station to the shopping center). In general, we walked from the hotel to the Forbidden City. We were pleased with the breakfasts - delicious, filling. There was always rice and scrambled eggs, 2 salads to choose from, fruits (apples, pears), boiled eggs, 2 hot dishes with vegetables and meat; porridge (but we did not try them); French fries and other stuff. In general, we were always full and so was the child. The only thing is that there is no coffee machine. Only instant coffee. About the room. We had a family room. The room was on the 6th floor, and the dining room is on the same floor. By the way, this is very convenient, since you don’t have to go down to another floor. The soundproofing of the rooms is not very good, because you can hear people talking loudly in the hallway or in the next room. But it didn’t bother us. The room’s decor is a bit shabby. But the room is clean, the towels were changed every day. The equipment includes a TV, hair dryer, kettle, and air conditioning. There is no refrigerator in the room. The shower head was leaking, which was a minus. There was always hot water. Hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, and disposable slippers were also in the room. Disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste are provided upon request at the reception. Another plus of the room is that the shower is separated from the sink and toilet, so they always remain dry. At the time of our stay at the hotel we were probably the only foreigners there.

The south-facing room is very sunny. It is very close to the north gate of Taoranting Park. I went to the ice and snow carnival as soon as I got up. I played on the ice slide for two days in a row. It is close and you don't have to queue up early. The breakfast at the black kiln factory downstairs is very rich, and the breakfast in Taoranting Park is also friendly.

It is 12-30 minutes away from the subway station, and there is a bus stop that goes directly to the front door within a 5-minute walk. The transportation is very convenient. The sugar-coated pancake breakfast shop next to it is delicious, inexpensive and suitable for all ages. It is highly recommended. The sanitation is average, which is acceptable.

As soon as I entered the hotel, the front desk service was warm and efficient. The room was comfortable, the bedding was clean and soft, the hygiene was perfect, and the facilities were complete and advanced. The dining was amazing, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious with a wide variety of options. The leisure facilities were also good, and the gym and swimming pool were very good. The location is good, travel is convenient, and there are many shopping malls and attractions around. Highly recommended.
