Xingyi Hotel (Beijing Temple of Heaven Dongmen Subway Station)

We had an enjoyable stay at this hotel. The staff was professional, helpful and friendly special thanks to Leon, who made sure we could communicate with them through the translation app. Bus stop right in front of hotel so it was very easy to move around. They also cleaned our room everyday. Breakfast was good.

The hotel itself is ok, but not great. It’s very worn down and needs a renovation. Distance from metro about 10-15 minutes, which is alright. Big grocery shop across the street. Breakfast is okay, but there’s no bread being served. Service is alright, but they’re not speaking English properly- which is totally okay but just be ready to use a translating app. Then the rooms, this is what got to us. They’re terrible, we didn’t want to step on the floor at all. But they provide you with slippers, so that saved us from doing so. The floor wasn’t cleaned properly, there was hair all over from previous guests. Water leaking from the toilet, lots of things “growing” in various places from the wetness. No hot water one evening too, which was terrible after a long day of sightseeing. The wallpaper is literally falling off of the walls. We understand that the hotel is cheap and all, but you shouldn’t feel like we felt in our room.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was nice. The bed very comfortable and in a quiet area, so easy to get a good nights sleep. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a ten minute walk from the metro, which is a convenient way to travel around the city. There are also restaurants in the area that can easily be walked to. The location is quiet, with The Temple of Heaven park nearby and with the metro you can be at the main tourist attractions in 20 minutes or so. A good base for exploring the city.

The hotel has really good service, nice design and is located in a convenient place. Price is great for Beijing and check-out time is quite late, so it’s convenient if you have a late flight.

Really value for money. Great location, literally a bus stop right at the door step with buses going to all the tourist spots (qianmen, Tiananmen, forbidden city, Wangfujing). There’s also a train station about 10mins walk. Temple of heaven is a 15mins walk too. Hotel provided 2 bottles of water everyday, toothbrush, toothpaste too. They have free laundry too. Really enjoyed my stay here! Thank you! 😊

Convince for going sounding, the bus station is nearby, and the room is quietly…. Sound proof system is good, hot water is 24hrs… highly recommended.. with good prices
