Got assigned a room that looked nothing like those sleek photos… kind of disappointed. The location and service made up for it though. The property is near a section of the wild great wall. Wouldn’t suggest anyone scaling it, but just looking at it is awe-inspiring. Bring your own alcohol and lots of snacks; everything nearby is closed by 7pm.

In a very quiet location next to some nice mountain roads where you can do kids friendly walks while at the same time being close to Lakeside Great Wall + the string of restaurants at Ansi Lu. Very nicely decorated courtyard with small pool and possibility to bbq (the owner also has a restaurant you can order food from).

This B&B is very close to the Huanghualing Water Great Wall. We booked a three-room courtyard (Huaiyuan). I really like the tea table and yard in the living room. The B&B partners are also very warm, friendly, professional, and responsive. It was difficult to get a taxi in the scenic area the night before, and the B&B partners drove over to pick us up. We will stay here again if we have the chance!
