It’s the 12th time booking into this hotel and I keep coming back because the location is convenient for me and front desk staff is good .I also love the amenities.The major problem I have however is cleanliness.Cleanliness is very poor .I realized that the cleaners don’t bother cleaning well during your stay .Yesterday I left for a meeting and came back to a dirty room.The dishes were not done ,the bathroom was not cleaned ,things were just the way I left them except for the bed .The pot and plates I found in the cupboard were not well washed from the last time the last guest used them .It’s like they just rinse with water and put into the cupboards for the next guest .The woman responsible for cleaning the 9th floor need to improve because this is not the first time .

Most staff in this hotel spoke English and they understand foreigner problems because most our mobile dont work in China so they are helpful with it. Train station line 2 and 5 are right outside the hotel front door. Most popular street is 1 stop away from line 2 trainstation. Tiananmen are closeby but not too close, which is good. (Tips: do not stay way too close to Tiananmen coz the phone signal will not work, so will have so many problems using the phone) This hotel have their own Termal spring water system, so its good for spa after whole day walking. Only down side is there is no air conditioning in the rooms but the receptionist provided me a fan, so it no big issue.

The hotel room is huge and very comfortable for a family of 3. The bed is enough to accommodate us and our teenage son. The decor of the hotel is very nice, the swimming pool is fantastic if you want to do some burning of calories after all that delicious Beijing duck dinner. The location of the hotel is just minutes away from the Wang fu Jing shopping district. The hotel service is fantastic and we wanted to specially mention Mr Yang for helping us to arrange for a car to the Great Wall.

I had a great experience overall. The location is excellent, close to major attractions, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it great value for the price. However, the only downside was the bathroom drainage, as the water drained a bit slowly. Aside from that, everything was perfect.

Hotel next to the walking street (not on walking street), opposite is entrance to metro station. Walking to the Forbidden city and the many food options. Service is very quick, they speak english too, breakfast is good. Laundry is free, even has steam ironing equipment which is excellent. Only 2 downsides: 1 elevator for the whole building, waiting time a bit longer, in room air con is too hot (the first day the lady has to bring the cooler to our room to solve the issue).

Excellent location. Hotel a little bit old and tired. Funnydooronbathroom. However, personal is making your day. Smile is always there, even early morning. We enojoy our stay and would definitely come back. We liked breakfest in Exclusive lounge and also dinner there. Definitely, woul recommend to go with Executive rooms 16-19 floor.

I had an incredible experience at Sofitel Beijing. The rooms are spacious and clean, and I especially loved the spa-like bathtub. My children enjoyed soaking in it after a long day of exploring the streets of Beijing. The hotel is located in a great area with plenty of delicious food options nearby, and the train station is just a short walk away. This hotel is strategically located between Wanfujing street and forbidden city. Walking distance to both of the attractions is a plus point. 5 mins away from metro station so going around using public transport is easy. Famous Peking duck restaurant is just beside the hotel and it is a must try if you are visiting Beijing. Hotel cleanliness is top notch. Only thing to regret for us was choosing a room without window. Even during winter times, it got quite hot and suffocating since there was no window in our room type. Hotel provided fan but that was not good enough for my hubby who likes cold. Other than that, I would highly recommend to stay here and I would stay there again if I ever visit Beijing again. Hotel provided daily fresh fruits and snacks. There is free laundry and dryers on top floor so it was very convenient for us. Oh another highlight is Taobao orders!! 😂 We can purchase anything from Taobao with hotel address and the delivery took only 1-2 days max. Reception will help you receive the deliveries. Super love it!

It’s our second time staying at this hotel. We had a comfortable stay. The rooms are clean, and there’s a wide selection of food for breakfast. The only thing we didn’t like was one of the staffs attitude. I asked her to help me order food from meituan a Chinese app) for ordering food and she said she doesn’t know how to do it, I was like seriously? I think she was too much consumed of her computer work at the front desk that saying I don’t know is the fastest way to dismiss me. It was late. We had a very long journey and we were hungry. She should have at least tried. Meituan as I showed her is a very common app for food delivery service in China and she said she doesn’t know. She didn’t even try.
