Just came back from my trip to Beirut, J hotel is centrally located in Al Hamra street with shops, restaurants, pharmacy within a walking distance. Rooms are OK but needs renovation and towels looked a bit old. AC was always too high/cold despite trying to adjust the temperature. The room had the required amenities, water bottles, kettle and small fridge. Wifi also very good. The hotel has a generator which was helpful with the electricity cuts. Breakfast had limited options, we went only once and then decided to have breakfast outside for the other days. For the price and the fact that we spent almost all day out, I believe the hotel is a very good choice.
