Aquarius Motel Belmont

If I could rate this place with a zero, I definitely would. We booked two rooms as we were attending a function nearby and wanted something within walking distance. From the moment we stepped out of our car, I stood there looking at a very unmaintained and rundown motel and the first thing that came to my mind was the movie “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel”. We walked into the reception area where my partner had to call a mobile number for a guy to come out to serve us. The reception area was full of furniture which seemed to be hand picked from kerbside collections, empty beer bottles left on the floor, and a packet of unopened Coles toilet paper which we had to open to supply both rooms with toilet paper as it was obviously a self serve option for this service. After waiting ten minutes we got the keys to our rooms. We never had a problem staying at a budget hotel, it was close to the function we were attending, but utter filth is another level. Apart from the razor blade left on the bed, the room stunk from being locked up as there was only a door into the room and no windows, the floors didn’t seem to be cleaned in months, there were dead bugs on the bed, and the furnishings had handles hanging off with only one screw etc. We left our bag on the bed and left the room within two minutes of opening the door. In general, this motel seemed like a halfway house for drug *******. We spent the next two hours at the function trying to rebook elsewhere but nothing was available within twenty kilometres. In the end, we returned after the function, grabbed the bags out of the two rooms, and drove back home to the Central Coast. NEVER AGAIN. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUTDOWN BY THE RELEVANT AUTHORITIES

This place is absolutely disgusting. The sheets are filthy, nothing has been washed or cleaned in who knows how long. Gross. The towels and bed are stained and so far from sanitary. Having paid for my night I considered just sleeping in my car.

Where do i even start? I am here with my 3 kids. We walked into the room & my oldest being 9 stated "mum, this place is a dump". I was shocked entering the room as the photos looked a lot better online, for a cheap place to stay for a few days. The shower Curtin has mold all over it. the toilet paper roll had already been used from the last visitors, let alone the shower not being cleaned properly as it still had a hair band hanging over the shower tap & dirt on the ground. I had to clean it myself to put my kids in it! Having a 1 year old & cleaning her bottles had to be done in the toilet sink as they wouldn't change my room & stated "no rooms had kitchen sinks!"? For the last two nights i've been woken up by the people in the next room, swearing, screaming, slamming doors, knocking on my door at 2am in the morning to the point i had to complain to reception over the phone to sort it out! yet a young bloke still knocked on my door at mid day asking for a cigarette? If housing commission is what your looking for in a motel this is the place! would i recommend this place to anyone? ABSOLUTY NOT! This is by far the worst motel i've ever stayed at. & having my kids here made it 1000x worse. The only good thing it had going for it was the pool & reception being some what nice... buts its still not enough for me to ever come back. I'm truly disappointed.....
