Nice hotel, comfortable room, clean, good wifi, free parking just outside. Nice restaurant with good food (we had booked an evening meal) and very friendly staff. There is nothing much to do in Bendorf, we took a walk through a park and looked at the castle, but that was quickly done. Good for an overnight stay. Good breakfast buffet with plenty of choices.

We booked a last minute overnight stay 2 hours before arriving . From arriving at the hotel to be met by luts the standard never dropped ! Exceptional experience and the food in the restaurant was out of this world ! Well done to everyone invoked , we will be back one day !! Just a long way from perth. Australia

Alles super. Ein gelungener Wochenendaufenthalt bei perfekten Gastgebern. Das Hotel mit seinen wunderschönen Zimmern hat uns absolut positiv überrascht. Der abendliche Restaurantbesuch war einfach nur toll...Speisen auf Sterne Niveau und eine Weinkarte mit ca. 500 Positionen, die ihresgleichen sucht. Wir kommen schon sehr bald wieder!

Was macht ein Romantikhotel aus? Die Lage an einer vielbefahrenen Straße? Die ungepflegte Außenanlage? Der Blick aus dem Fenster auf eine verwilderte Fläche, verrottende Holzpaletten und Gerümpel? Der unengagierte, äußerst knappe Empfang? Das lieblose Frühstücksbuffet mit harten kalten Eiern, Käse und Wurst auf Discounterniveau und zuckersüßer Industriemarmelade? Unser Zimmer war zweckmäßig, schnörkellos eingerichtet, sauber, die Minibar war leer. Keine Romantik weit und breit, aber eine passable Unterkunft, wenn man mal in Sayn übernachten muss und woanders essen geht. Zu teuer für das, was nicht geboten wird.

Wir können weder Hotel, noch Restaurant weiterempfehlen, da es für diesen Preis wesentliche spannendere Alternativen gibt. Restaurant: Personal war sehr freundlich (ausgenommen Restaurantleiter, der arrogant und nicht Service orientiert war). Das Essen war Ok, aber leider lauwarm und im Rahmen unseres Überraschungsmenüs wurden die günstigsten Speisen der Karte serviert, das fanden wir unmöglich. Die Location war schon romantisch, leider etwas 'angeschmuddelt'. Auch das Zimmer war ok, aber für ein 'Romantik' Hotel viel zu nüchtern und schlicht eingerichtet, alles sehr schade....

Wir hatten für einen Zwischenstopp auf dem Weg in die Schweiz eine Nacht in der Villa Sayn gebucht. Das Haus war sicherlich mal ganz gut, ist aber mittlerweile in die Jahre gekommen. Die Lage an der Straße ist auch nicht so super, wir haben nicht gut geschlafen. Was aber alles wieder herausgerissen hat war das Restaurant. Tolles Ambiente, ein tolles Team (allen voran der „Maitre & Sommelier“) und großartiges Essen sowie tolle lokale Weine. Nicht zuletzt merkt man an der Behandlung von Gästen mit Fell, wie gut ein Team wirklich ist. Ein schöner Abend!
