Our room was great, we chose a sea view which had plenty of space and included a very comfortable sofa. There were tea and coffee facilities but to be honest I didn’t like the coffee so we hardly used them. There are water dispensers on every floor and we made good use of them. There is a small fridge in the room and you can use it as a mini bar by ordering drinks to the room. The bathroom was very well equipped although I have to say I found the hairdryer very difficult to use as you need to keep the handle pressed in for the power. Our room was well cleaned and fresh towels daily. The air con is only available May to Oct I think and I found the room a bit warm for me although my husband was fine. The hotel staff were great, everyone was very friendly and cheerful and happy to help. We were on a full board basis and the food was really good, plenty of choice and access times with breakfast starting at 8.30, lunch at 1pm and evening meal at 7pm. Breakfast consisted of a selection of cereals, fresh fruit, pastries and breads, cheeses and meats, hot choices like eggs bacon beans etc and yoghurts, juices, Cava, a variety of milks to suit most people and a very decent coffee. Lunch and evening meal offered a variety of meats, cheeses, salads, plus hot food like pizza, paella, pasta dishes, fish, chicken, and hot vegetables. For dessert there was a selection of fresh fruit, ice cream, gateaux, mousses, profiteroles, pastries etc which changed daily. We’re not overly picky about our food so certainly didn’t go hungry. Your room card also served as a 10% discount card when ordering drinks either in the restaurant or bar. These drinks were charged to your room and the hotel gave us a link where we could check these charges to keep a tally if you wanted. We used the safe in the room, you pay a €10 deposit which is returned when you hand in the key at the end of your holiday. We were very impressed that the reception staff asked us about our pick up time and offered us the opportunity to use the breakfast room outside the normal opening hours although it would just be a cold selection. This was extremely helpful and meant we could have hot coffee, toast and cereals when we went in at 7.30am. The entertainment was quite good to be fair, various acts typical to hotels and the ones we saw were quite enjoyable. The hotel is really well located for us. Very close to the old town just a few minutes away and we enjoyed walking around the Poniente area. We used the tram and walked uphill to the station which was only about 20 mins away. So all in all for us this was a great hotel experience and I would definitely return here in the future.
