Hotel Cabana

Hotel clean, rooms are basic but you get what you pay for, food was catered for Spanish but reasonable to eat out, I’m a fussy eater. Won’t do for people that have mobility issues as 50 odd steps to the hotel Wouldn’t say the reception staff are the friendliest but dining room and cleaners always acknowledged

Just came back from hotel cabana we stayed here for 4 nights. Hotel was very basic and outdated but for a cheap holiday you can’t complain. We only used the all inclusive for the drinks as the food wasn’t the best. Staff on the bar were lovely but receptionist wasn’t very helpful. It was about a 30 minute walk to the new town.

Well where do I start. Upon arrival the hotel looked amazing! We stepped off the coach and noticed from the entrance the pool was Empty, we approached the desk to collect our room card and also ask why the pool was empty as there was no water in there and it was coned off. I was informed by the desk staff it’s broken and we don’t know when it will be fixed. Then he gave us our room key and stated what room number out loud with other people around the lobby and shooed us away. Firstly we are two young females so the room number should never be stated out loud, but we let it slide and took it into our hands and agreed to keep the door blocked at all times whilst asleep. We enter the room to find the draws broken and also the 2nd bed leg bends when you lay on it so very unsafe and to top it off the balcony door does not lock and we are only on the second floor. We went down to ask for another room as the bed leg was broken on the second bed and the door to the balcony does not lock and was told outright no the whole hotel was full and again shooed away. Took them 2 days to replace the bed to a safer one and still no pool. Because we complained about the room and pool, when we get our room cleaned they always took our towels and never replaced them so we had to keep going to reception to get the towels. When we went to reception to collect the towels the staff would know what we wanted and would hand us towels without asking. The food is always suited for the Spanish, nothing really English. Entertainment is a man constantly playing the same Spanish instrumentals and people line dancing. It’s just a disappointment. We lasted 3 days and searched other hotels which had available rooms for the duration of our holiday. It was a choice we didn’t want to make as it was an unexpected cost but we couldn’t take this anymore. Disgusting behaviour from staff and dreadful service from the hotel. Please be warned!

Habana Hotel is situated back from the beach near the old town & harbour on the Poniente side of town. The hotel is a typical3* spanish hotel. It is 11 stories high with all rooms south facing. The higher floors have a view of the sea over other buildings. The room was in good condition but the furniture was in a dark wood style which was a bit dated. There was a bath with plenty of hot water. The bed was a memory foam type which was comfortable. The meals had reasonable choice with bottle of wine & water included. The hotel is very average  but where it does score is value for money. It is often one of the cheapest hotels offering full & half board. I booked direct on the hotels Web site as this was the cheapest.
