River Spring Lodge

Peaceful retreat with excellent accommodations. Recommend the dinner package - delicious. Compliments to the chef! Carolyn the hostess was outstanding! We were in the area visiting Letchworth State Park. Highly recommend a stay at the lodge.

If you are looking for a 5 star experience go to the River Spring Lodge! Rooms are clean and modern. The bed is very cozy with wonderful sheets. The food is a 10! My husband and I have been several times over the years and it never disappoints. The hosts are special making your stay memorable and nice. We will be back.

We love going to this Oasis in the Woods. We have gone here a couple times to get away. Serene, and beautiful. The rooms are super clean and comfortable. The food is excellent and served straight to your room. It is a perfect getaway for a couple who wants to spend quality time with each other. Worth every penny!!

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful evening relaxing in our beautifully furnished room with the most fabulous food being brought right to our door. We enjoyed a delicious dinner that included several courses, followed by an equally delicious breakfast the next morning. Early morning coffee service was a nice touch as well. Our room was clean, warm, and had everything we needed. The owners/hosts are attentive, friendly, and see to your every need. We cannot wait to return.

We were looking for rest and relaxation. Got that and much more. Beautiful surroundings with fall foliage still near peak. Comfortable room and lovely shower. Best of all were the delicious and elegant dinners served in four courses: appetizers, salad and bread, entree and dessert; and breakfasts were wonderful as well. Best place we have ever been to get away from it all and decompress. If you're looking for stimulation, this is not the place. If you want peace, pampering and glorious relaxation, please consider River Spring Lodge. Carolyn will take good care of you, and David will prepare you the most scrumptious meals, served in the privacy and comfort of your room.

My husband and I recently drove from South Dakota to Bar Harbor, Maine. I love the bed and breakfast vibe; in preparation of our trip, I scoured the internet in search of optimal lodging options. To my extreme delight, I stumbled onto River Springs Lodge. The lodge is nicely situated by a small lake…incredibly peaceful and serene. We stayed in the Evergreen Room, which featured hard wood floors plus an alcove with a sofa plus table/chairs. We absolutely loved the bathroom with its dual sinks and even better, its fancy shower. My husband and I opted for the four-course dinner, a true culinary delight prepared by a CIA-trained chef and delivered right to our room by the innkeeper. For entree, we both chose the steak…it was superb; the best we’ve ever had (and since we grew up in cattle country, that’s really saying something!). Every course was amazing (my husband marveled at the concept of homemade - not canned - creamed corn!). Breakfast was also a huge treat…we enjoyed juice, homemade cinnamon streusel bread, and gourmet breakfast sandwiches. That breakfast - which followed a great night of sleep - was a fantastic way to start our next day of travel. We are already making plans to return with our daughters and their husbands…can’t wait!
